  1. I think Stock is usually closed on Mondays, Penn7, but I see on their website that they'll be open on Memorial Day.
  2. I was in Montreal for 5 days this week and thought I'd report on my experiences in the strip clubs. I have had a good time at all 4 bars over the years, so I always check them all out. Taboo: I only went to Taboo once and did not stay long; there were only 2 dancers (very nice-looking twinks Marco and Fred), and fewer than 5 customers; it was a rainy Tuesday night, so that may have been the problem. Someone in another thread was asking about the lack of curtains in the private dance cubicles. I did not check it out this trip, but I will say that lack of privacy has never seemed to inhibit the Taboo dancers. Stock: I had a very good private dance on Sunday night with Pepe (as in LePew, he said), a tall muscular Quebecois dancer. He seemed very straight, but he was very friendly in the back room. I also poked my head in to Stock that same rainy Tuesday night, and it was as dead as I have ever seen it. A big group of dancers was gathered around the near end of the bar, and one shouted out "Hey, come back!" as I made my escape. Campus: I stopped in to Campus twice (Monday and Tuesday - I tried all 4 clubs that night), and it was pretty low energy both times. On Monday there were long breaks between dancers on stage; I stayed for one drink and none of the dancers ever approached me. On Tuesday, the stage shows were more steady, but it was still slow. There was some sort of bad feeling among the dancers, with one guy seeming on the outs with the others; it looked like a fight might break out a few times, but nothing ever happened. Multiple handsome dancers came up and talked to me, and I had a great private with Daniel, a young black/mixed race guy who said he'd only been working there a couple of weeks - muscular, hung, very enthusiastic. Adonis: I have always liked this club more than some posters, and Adonis (now open 7 nights a week - Lux was only open 5 nights) was the clear winner this trip. I went three times, and it was consistently busier and livelier than Stock, Campus, or Taboo. It is true that some of the dancers here (and this has been true when it was JP's and Lux, too) are unhealthy looking and unattractive. There is one dancer who is very overweight and appears to be in his mid-40s, at least; I thought he was a customer at first. But it's also true that I have had some really good private dances here. John (handsome young Asian guy with a very sexy body, great dancer) did a good private dance with me. I also had a good experience with Jimmy, tall brunette with a big cock who used to dance at Taboo; he is very accommodating if you're willing to pay his price. Jonathan, handsome young straight guy with a good body, is friendly in a sort of charmingly gawky way. I am pleased to have Adonis back up and running again. But it is - to my mind - largely unchanged from its previous incarnation; if you did not like Lux, you probably won't like Adonis, either. Ichabod
  3. "I recognized one from last year whom I had taken back to my Air BnB. He colored his hair blond and apparently "knows" every customer very well. Eww!" This is odd. He had sex with you, which is fine. He has sex with other men, which is disgusting?
  4. Has anyone met with this handsome Russian? https://rent.men/Lacmus I don't see any reviews or previous mention of him here. He is going to be visiting DC later this week, as am I. He responded quickly to my email through rentmen. Thanks, TinoNC
  5. I saw him for a massage many years (10+, I think) ago, too. He was great - very sexy, nice guy, good massage, very interactive.
  6. This seems like the next step toward eliminating these ads altogether. I logged in to Backpage as though I was going to post an ad, to see what I could find out. There is no way to enter text. The social media field is required, so they have to enter something (hence all the dead links to nowhere). They say you can't post dick pix (although maybe it always said that? I don't know). But it's a real loss to those of us who don't live in a major city with lots of hiring options. Backpage used to be the best venue in placed like Raleigh, but it's almost useless at this point. 7. Has anyone tried Basmie in NY? He's new on RM: https://rent.men/basmie/ The text of his ad is odd, but there is something about his pix that I find appealing. Thanks, Ichabod
  8. I spent a week in Santo Domingo a few years ago, and I loved it. I do not speak any Spanish, and that was a bit of a challenge sometimes; but mostly it was fine. Remember that lots of Dominicans travel back and forth to NY, so a fair number of people speak some English. I never felt unsafe walking around, but I am a fairly cautious person and probably avoided anything risky without even thinking about it. I went out to two gay bars while I was there, both fine, neither of them anything special. Dominican men are very handsome and sexy; I was in heaven just looking. You have to leave town to go to the beach, I think. I spent a day at Boca Chica, which is not far from SD, not at all glamorous, and quite cheap - lots of budget hotels aimed at European travelers. Boca Chica is where I experienced the only really bad thing about the trip: endless hawkers walking the beach, constantly trying to sell you something. I got that a little bit in the city, with tour guides and vendors aggressively offering their goods and services. But at Boca Chica it was nonstop, including many prostitutes (only women, unfortunately). The only way to avoid that is to make arrangements to spend the day at a hotel with an enclosed beach - it does not fend off all the vendors, but cuts down on the traffic a bit. I did not have sex while I was in Santo Domingo, although I was approached a couple of times on the street in SD by guys who were clearly available for the right price. I was staying in a place where it would have been awkward to bring someone back to my room. A week is probably too long to stay there, but I definitely recommend it if you're looking for something a bit more adventurous than the typical resort vacation. There are caves with cave paintings not far outside of town; I would love to get to see them sometime (and I would definitely hire a guide for something like that). Ichabod
  9. I think 75 sounds right. That's about how old my parents were when they died. That's a good long life. Of course, it's fine to think about it, and I do, as though you control it. But then events can intervene. My mother had a stroke a year before she died, and I am sure she would have preferred to skip that final year.
  10. Has anyone gotten a massage from Nikos? Strictly therapeutic, or up for more? He is on the road and headed my way soon. Thanks, Ichabod
  11. I have been wondering about "the state of Ste. Catherine" (as nynakedtop called it) too. All those vacant buildings! That seems like prime real estate. Why is it not being redeveloped? It certainly seems like there is plenty of construction going on in the city. Does anyone know if there are specific issues in Montreal that make it hard to get permits, or hard to get redevelopment loans? Or anything about the neighborhood? It strikes me every time I'm there.
