While the $50 surcharge for erotic seems even low, the base rate is way high IMHO. I can get spa quality therapeutic for $120 right next door, so this is a nonstarter for me. Of course, if he can get enough business at these rates power to him.

Indeed, his rates are posted. But effective $240 per hour is pushing it. $230 is lame, I am not going to have a 10 or even worse two 5s, plus that would be awkward. Having said this, if he has enough clients willing to pay, power to him. He is now in Tampa, but I'll stick with some of the locals charging under $200, even though I saw him once before and it was a nice experience. Oh, well...

I inquired about his rates and was quoted $160 for therapeutic and $200 for sensual with MT & nude. Not sure, I might go for it, but I can get spa quality therapeutic for $100-$120 at a convenient nearby location. If that's what I need, I actually prefer to get it from someone I don't find attractive. I am reluctant to pay $200 for sensual unless I read glowing reviews here, which is not the case. Oh well... PS I do find it puzzling when a masseur has two profiles on masseurfinder, it costs money so what is the point? 🤔

Now in SF. No matter how big a market, he quickly runs out of horny rich guys who let their small head take over. The fact that even they apparently aren't eager to hire him again and again speaks volumes.

I agree! I find it ridiculous when a new masseur on RM or MF starts off with a rate of $200 or even more. Automatic pass. Similarly, I am done with most travelers charging these rates. They are obviously milking local markets for whatever they are worth. I will make an appointment at $200 or under $300 for 90 minutes, though, if I see stellar reviews here. These are vary rare cases anyway. So, I rely on a couple of local masseurs in Orlando when I make it there, here in the Tampa Bay Area the picture is pretty grim. I do have a masseur who no longer advertises and likes to see me when we both find time, though 😁. Bottom line, one has to provide enough VALUE for the price charged. If the gap between the two is too small, one cannot generate much business, and then one has to travel and skim local markets, lower the price, or improve the offering. A local masseur who doesn't travel but has been in business for a while is a good bet, especially if you like his ad, he must be doing something right. Or regional travelers that keep serving the same handful of markets. National or international travelers, especially those who see themselves as models and charge insane rates, are best avoided IMHO.

I agree with all who say that you don't owe him anything and that "I am busy and will get in touch when I see an opening" should be enough. I am for 2 messages max. When he comes back with a rant, simply say "Thanks, as I said, I've been really busy and will get in touch when I can." and then simply don't answer to additional messages. I wouldn't block him, let him vent. There is no point in entering arguments, because facing the truth will likely only infuriate him. However, you can download a free texting app that gives you another number. You can contact him anonymously and give him feedback on his pricing that way. If he has any brains, he should be able to use them. If not, oh well... Yeah, Econ 101, the law of supply & demand.
