Well damn, this is illuminating to read all the stances. I would imagine a scenario like the OP of a pestering provider after the fact is a bit much-especially so quickly after the fact. But its also wild to read about everyone's different stances on messaging clients in the first place. I live in a pretty saturated market where paying to get on the front page is not necessarily guaranteed to work out. Messaging a "hey" to someone vs sitting on your hands like its fishing both seem like not ideal scenarios? I guess it's all about what you're comfortable spending your money on to run an ad.

I've had the sugar daddy/dating a client scenario, and it did not end well. They will inevitably always ask for more and more, for less and less, and sometimes even play with the boundaries of the relationship as a form of ownership. One even pressured me to stop working. I remember the jitters of feeling unsafe when I first started. Vigilance doesn't go away, but the nerves subside a bit with time and gentle first timers.
