Have been to the 8th street all seasons but not for a few months , mostly great massages can be hit or miss, strictly professional.
I went to the all seasons on 23rd in Chelsea recently and had Michael, super strong massage I had to tell him to let up at some points because it was bordering on painful, I lift so I really appreciate a super deep tissue. The focus was definitely on getting my knots out and he did some crazy stretching at the end too which I needed. He was very professional but not shy either to massage (almost) all over, would recommend if you like really strong massages. 

thanks for the solid recommendation. holy crap, one of the strongest massages that i haven't had for a while and i thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. michael is certainly a pro and wasn't shy about the thoroughness. he's going to be on my list of regular go-tos. i slept super well since he dug into my stubborn knots like there was no tomorrow with stretching/contortions to dig event deeper into those knots. certainly not for anyone who doesn't tolerate extreme pressure well.
my only gripe is that since i'm a pretty tall guy, i hate when the "rooms" separated by curtains are stingy in size. while it's not a problem for me (except for when i'm undressing/changing in these tight quarters), i do feel badly for the therapists who have to navigate in these tight spaces bent over giving massages. i can only imagine the back aches they have themselves!

It was probably a C+ with oddly one of the nicest massage tables I have ever seen in NYC.  Gets naked and aroused,  Yes uncut, yes under 7 inches.  But the body is beyond belief.  Not a blemish on the skin -- hairless -- and huge worked out muscular legs.  I also got off and out of the apartment in under an hour.  But I got what I wanted honestly.  Lots of MT and a HJ.  If you paid $20 song to have him strip, I came out ahead in my hour for $200....

I believe the question was about legit spas. "good masseurs in Manhattan at the legit places"
As for underwear, even the "less than legit" places have signs saying to leave your underwear on but that doesn't mean it has to stay on. I've been to many legit spas and taken everything off. If anything, the masseur will cover your butt with a towel.

He’s become one of my go-to therapists, and I would highly recommend booking with him if you get the chance.
On my last visit, I did see Troy. He’s very easy on the eyes. I didn’t get a chance to try him yet, but I’ll definitely be booking with him next time.

As well, the environment is key.  Your Yelp, Google, and Website are barren and most show your old location.  Things that matter are a clean bathroom, rooms with doors, rooms that have walls that go to the ceiling.  These are the things customers are looking for along with good masseurs

I'd welcome you in my village, but I'd want to tidy up a bit first.

Got a massage from Allen.  One of the worst.  More time doing the through-towel-warm-up than actual massage.  First five minutes a discussion of the tip.  Same for the last five.  Attempted HE was from a seated chair as far from the table as possible.  Won’t be back

This is NYC. Everything is "near a school." There are tons of businesses in basements or 1st floors of residential buildings. Are these spas supposed to open in a mall? It's just an excuse to clutch their pearls. lol

Did a drive by on Freshmen today. Standard NY spa setting… non-lux, clean with small rooms, window ACs. Door was answered by Allen who worked at Spa 28 and can be found on both MF and RM. See below. Seems like he’s the manager. $100 for 90 min as per their website delivered by Daniel… quiet, sweet short twinkish Asian. B/B+ technique. Not much in sensual dept during the session but turns it up for an unrushed happy happy. Rather expert pelvic/scrotal massage. Might try Allen next visit.

Also saw him years ago in NYC.  Had put on a lot of doughy weight from the pictures (some still there) he was advertising.  Terrible massage and lots and lots of rambling about sad personal issues
