Wow.  Very similar experience.  First time with him years ago was an amazing experience.  
Next time he was in town I eagerly booked a session with him hoping for a similar experience but he said he no longer offered what I was hoping to repeat.  I still book sessions with him when he’s in town because he does give a great deep tissue massage and I do genuinely like him — and I guess also because I’m hopeful he might change his policy and once again offer the type of experience I had with him the first time.
Probably seen him 8-10 times over the past 10 years and what is ironic is that if I had not had that initial above-and-beyond session with him, I would consider what he offers now to be top tier — but everything (and everyone) pales to that initial encounter.

I would have to say, my first experience with him was amazing to say the least. It was early afternoon session on a bed. Got the full package and was fully engaged (if you know what I mean). However after subsequent sessions and just recently last night on a massage table. He fell a bit short. He was quite aloof. Idk if time of the session or the difference of bed/table has something to do with it. But after 2-3 sessions and none living up to my first massage, I will not book further sessions with him, unfortunately. 😔 such a bummer considering my first session went above and beyond my expectations from what the forum had said.

I agree with @BeefyDude, whenever I read good review from the forum and book an appointment with a said provider, the least I expect is a good massage. Anything more would just a plus. I try not to have too much expectation because every experience is unique to each individual.

Will see him again this evening after more than. 3 years. Will report.

Last I heard was he moved out of LA. I was one of his regulars and let me know prior to leaving around late March.

When I saw Ben, he had mentioned to give him ten minutes to shower and to text him when I got to the door. I did just that and he opened it with nothing but a towel around his waist. His body was not completely dried and just glistening from the kitchen lighting. He’s such a beautiful man! I just remember thinking to myself asking if my tongue could be the towel.

I hope I’m not the only one here that feels like these new wave of “masseurs” posting on RentMasseur/Masseurfinder are really greedy posting rates $180+ considering we are at the tail end of a pandemic and they are new to the “masseur” gig. I don’t know, just venting. 😅

I had a great experience with Manny. Solid therapeutic massage. Very handsome. When he asked if anyone referred me to him, I said no and I said found him online. Idk if he would had given me a different experience otherwise if someone did refer me to him.
