  1. Dancers didn’t seem too interested in lining up future business for later in the week, whether it was committing to meets at the bar or otherwise.
  2. Corner Pocket update went there NYE after midnight. Decent pick of some white twinks, varying stages of pretty to neighbor next door(shout out to Harry as in Harry Potter), they had some toned black and Latin as well as I recall. Usual experience - sat at the bar and there’s wasn’t much lap dances I could see occurring. It was a decent crowd. We left shortly before 3am and luckily crossed Bourbon about 15-20min before the incident. Other NOLA news, Good friends, Exile, Rawhide, and Clover Grill are all going to be changing hands this spring. Owner is selling the businesses.
  3. For me, I usually to keep things relatively simple. Term would have likely been cheaper/flexible/less work to gain advantage. I was young enough and didn’t want to deal with re-upping every few years. Agreed on the gurus - Suze Orman for example would never allow someone to buy a boat or a plane. While I wholeheartedly agree a boat or plane is a horrible purchase for most folks, if you want it and clearly can afford to throw money at a hole in the water, live your life! Just be honest with yourself.
  4. I should admit - I bought the policy without having a long term plan for it. In retrospect, I probably could have had term life for cheaper, but this policy served its purpose for peace of mind. Now I’m just trying to be smarter about how I can use it to maximum advantage.
  5. So I bought a Universal Life policy back 20+ years ago when I was working for an insurance company. It has a guaranteed rate of return somewhere around 3.8%. On death, it will pay out the face value only and there’s an overloan protection rider. I bought it initially for peace of mind that should I pass, my mom/sister wouldn’t have to rush to liquidate my house. Then it turned into “should I pass before my mom” the house we shared jointly could be owned free and clear until her passing. Now almost a decade after my mom’s passing, I’ve let the value pay for the premiums. I figure it’s time for me to figure out if this should be part of my retirement plan to borrow from it in the future. Anyone else get sold one of these Universal Life policies and have a strategy for how to use it while you’re still alive? Likewise, I’ll take any reading recommendations to evaluate options for myself. I’m doing well for myself - maxing out 401k, little debt. I’d want to retire early 55-60, and could use some living money before retirement funds are available penalty free. I’m thinking I could restart some contributions and use it as additional liquid funds in the future. My estate potentially losing out on policy cash value versus the death benefit face value, isn’t really that much of a concern as I would already be gone. Though, I’d rather stick it to the insurance company and drain any cash value if I had the option.
  6. Anyone considering another run of iBonds in 2025 as a hedge if inflation flares back up? At the very least, I’ll be holding my existing bonds all with the higher fixed rates.
  7. Should go over to the Spa and Masseurs sections
  8. Here ya go gals. Put the Vaseline on your teeth it’ll make you smile easier. And if they’re looking at your teeth, they can’t see how much you can’t dance. - Drop Dead Gorgeous
  9. Looks like he is active on Twitter and OF
  10. He’s getting some recent reviews on RentMen, but rate seems high 5 roses/hr - 2.5 roses for hanging out at a bar. I’m interested but not THAT interested.
  11. There’s also this thread under Cumming Attractions
  12. There’s a few threads on this site.
  13. “You only live twice” the James Bond title theme isn’t the usual saying. It’s actually “You only die twice, once in real life, and a second time your name/memory is invoked for the final time.” May both Hooboy and Guy Fawkes live on through this site for many years to come. I too have found community here - a digital replacement for the neighborhood gay bar that seems to get harder and harder to find. A place where men of all ages and background can share in common experiences and lean on each for support.
  14. You will most likely not see anything more than a very very rare occasional butt cheek. Steamworks and the Go gos on the street likely won’t show anything more than speedos. It’s a fun time for people watching and hitting the occasional music act. If you are looking for a place to sit and rest out of the sun the bars are open. Sidetrack is the video bar and always good for a frozen cocktail. Lucky Horseshoe is my go go /stripper bar hang out from back when I used to go out much more regularly. It became my gay Cheers for a little while.
  15. Like others it’s been a few years since I’ve gone. Market Days is a typical chicago street festival. There’s booths selling various goods - pride affiliated items, clothes, undies, art pieces, pretty much something for everyone. Food and drinks from local bars and restaurants. Political organizations, tourist boards like Key West I recall one year. Steamworks usually has some events setup in front of their place. Same with the bars along Halsted. The lifeguard stand with some muscled hottie. Some Go go dancers in front of others. They also have some music acts throughout the weekend as well. If you know anyone in Boystown or make friends with folks usually there will be some off street house parties going on. It’s all ages and all sizes. It’s been trending a bit more family friendly as the years have gone by as well. In the late evening though, they have had some cases with kids causing some trouble these days so keep your wits about you. Not like beating anyone up, but just mass group of late teens/young adults being stupid and acting tough. I used to bring my boat up to Belmont harbor and used it as camper for the weekend. Venture into the MarketDays crowds and then get my “people”ing quota in and miss the relative calm of the marina. Now it’s just a case when I don’t want to venture into the city, find parking, walk there, no real place to take a break, then just to walk back, venture back out to the burbs. Plus usually day drinking is involved least in my younger days. LOL and yeah, Chicagoans will drink and drink and drink some more. As one of the coast friends mentions about chicago, you guys don’t really have as bad of a drug problem in your nightlife, but damn you guys turn drinking into an Olympic sport. If you’re taking public transportation or an Uber and you’re already in the city, you might as well stick around for it. Worst case scenario, you find it’s not your thing and you do something else chicago has to offer.
  16. For me, it’s strange. Hand jobs and blow jobs will rarely cause a quick bust to the point - I’ll sometimes just take over to give the other guys hand or jaw a break. A hot bottom though riding me, and I pop like a Champagne cork. Not quite a two pump chump, but under 5 minutes usually for sure. I’d like to work on the skills, but also, with the right partner it shouldn’t matter. There’s always round 2 as an option. In college, I once had a marathon top session for an hour+ . Never to repeat that performance but also aware it was a bit annoying for us both at the end. I wanted to busy, and we both wanted to go to sleep.
  17. Gentlemen, be nice and body positive. If he’s not in your dance card, he could be checking off someone else’s boxes. Ultimately the market will decide - I’ll say older and bigger prolly has a niche underserved audience. Also one with plenty of free competition on the dating apps. Then again, you aren’t ordering from the Deli to keep at home. Part of the appeal could be the built-in NSA expectations.
  18. He’s been a bit of a busy beaver lately from the recent reviews on RM. I enjoyed my time spent. He’s gotten beefier than the earlier days dancing at Shoe I remembered him from. We used google translate for communication since his English is roughly the same as my Spanish. It worked out well enough. If you are looking for a vers very toned to muscley circuit dancer fantasy, he’ll check those boxes nicely.
  19. I didn’t ask myself. I asked him. He replied that’s something he reserves in-person for his private life. The pictures may imply that, but he’s never failed to deliver on what we explicitly agreed upon. Just saying in my experience, it’s far from one of the worst massages I’ve experienced and it’s in line with Chgo rates. Again, he’s not charging higher closer to Deli rates. My experience/opinion varies from yours. I met him during just before COVID years and appreciated his precautions during it.
  20. It’s been my experience that Orlando communicates his limits upfront. Also his rates are in line with therapeutic so fully clothed and lack of extras on his part shouldn’t be a surprise. Also, he’s only active on RentMasseur these days. Communication is a two-way street. I have found Orlando to be clear in communicating boundaries. He’s paid extra attention to areas I highlighted like tense shoulders, sore hamstrings, etc. Avoided sensitive areas where I had surgeries in the past. Also on the plus’s he also does have a heated table. I’ve seen him on a semi regular basis every couple months or so. When I want some medium to heavy pressure, he’s been dependable and we get along fine. Parking has never been an issue. Never flaked on me, always responsive within a few hours max. My first session - I wasn’t 100% on the chemistry or vibe. He’s very much though what’s communicated is what’s expected and mid-session nuance isn’t an opportunity for reinterpretation. He’s not a bargain basement rub and tug, nor charging anywhere close to Deli rates either. Yeah, I’ll admit I’d like to see him in jocks or MT, but providers have rights to boundaries as well. For what he charges, the experience is in line with expectations. To each their own. You didn’t have a great experience. I won’t be able to change that. Orlando operates in black and white terms. Sounds like the chemistry wasn’t flowing on both parties.
  21. Aye unknown why
  22. I also adopted a technique on how to handle being indecisive on keeping something. If you can’t clearly decide if you need it or can toss it? Throw that into a bankers box and mark the date. If you haven’t touched the Bankers Box in a year from now, off the shredder. I also use a local shredding company. I’ll get in a decluttering kick and box up all the old crap. Then I’ll find out when the shredding company has a shop day when they take appts and they shred everything at their facility. You pull up, empty the boxes, if it fills the bin more than halfway, then it’s $45. Otherwise $30. Likewise towns around me will host shred days where they accept one or two boxes for free with a shredding service. It saves me half a day feeding a shredder which I won’t end up doing. It’s quick, and very final. You don’t look at every paper over again and question if you need it. Once the box is loaded in the car, it’s as good as done.
  23. Actually I was thinking I could repurpose the pull up bar in my home gym setup for one side of the connection points. Exercise equipment indeed!
  24. That’s what the basement will eventually be for.
  25. I’m finally getting around to putting together a proper guest bedroom. It’s got an attached bathroom with a shower. It’s definitely overkill at this point. What sort of things would be nice for guests? - usb charger block with extra AC outlets on the nightstand - small computer desk/chair with a generic dock for laptops. I might just put an external monitor and speakers, but I will NOT put in a printer. I know better than that.
