  1. I have seen him recently. PM me for details.
  2. Does anyone m one of a good Latino masseur at one of the NYC spas?
  3. You know I have wondered if there was a site like this for masseurs who discussed clients. Haha. I know there are masseurs / providers on this site and I always appreciate their thoughts and perspectives.
  4. Man I hear you. It just doesn’t add—especially when they reach out to you and then nothing. If all of this were on a volunteer basis that would be one thing, but then it is a transaction for a service that involves money and time for both provider and client it is a different world (in my book, I realize others may not see it this way). I do not expect a provider to always want me as a client and they have every right to say no. What I get frustrated with is the lack of communication when commercially one does have the expectation to either be accepted or denied. I’m ok if a provider doesn’t want to take me as a client and just says so, even without a reason… but ghosting, no. It’s unprofessional.
  5. I have had a masseur a time or two fall asleep on me. The first time was before a session and didn’t hear my first or second knock at the door. When he answered the door, he was drowsy, almost naked, and quite disoriented. He was apologetic. I offered to come back another time, but he insisted I stay and the massage was not bad. The second was the time a guy quit in the middle of the session saying he was too tired to finish. He did cut the price in half which I thought was generous of him. But as he was sincere and just worn out, I paid him the whole fee. I’ve been there when I needed to work and was just too tired for whatever reasons.
  6. If you are interested, here are three guys in Dallas I have used repeatedly and had consistently good experiences: Thomas https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/1059/ Eddie https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/19606/ JD (when available) https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/5721/
  7. Yes! He was not into it at all.
  8. Yeah I hear you, and it’s our cash they are messing with. If they want cash they need to really earn it. Life is too short to be paying for 2/5.
  9. Yes I did see him eventually when he came through my town. Avoid. The massage is not that great, shorted a bit on time, the rest was just odd, not bad, but I left feeling like I had wasted my $$.
  10. Looks like a nice spa. Will check it out. Prices seem about right.
  11. Just posted on this same topic a couple of days ago and agree with all of you!
  12. The first guy in the duo is from South Africa and Ihave seen him a few times on previous trips to Capetown before he moved to the US pre-covid. He was quite good. PM me for details of you want.
  13. Thank you for sharing this story. I’m sorry that happened to you . One would think that he could have at least let you know about the emergency in advance even if last minute. It seems like common courtesy. Also a bit suspicious that there were cars in the driveway. I once had a masseur confirm an appointment date time with me saying he would confirm his location on the day of. When that day and time came, I texted him and there was no response, message, or apology afterwards. I did a little internet sleuthing and found him on IG where he was at the beach with his BF. haha. I think some of these guys massage for sport and extra cash and really don’t ever think about the world of their clients.
  14. Thank you! Well I feel like I need to repent in dust and ashes. I did have a session with Pasha yesterday (he broke my streak and was a very prompt responder) and it was total perfection if there is such a thing in massage-world. https://rentmasseur.com/PashaNYC
  15. Thank you all for these responses. I neglected to say that I have just relocated to NYC and am experiencing this here where there are lots of options and lots of competition for the providers. I am just a bit mystified.
  16. I am going through a period of contacting masseurs for appointments based on their ads and simply getting no response at all. I simply state my name, the ad I’m responding to, the date, time range, and type of massage I’m looking for (based on options in the ad). I usually include that I am fully vaxxed. And I’m getting just nothing back. This is unusual for me and I’m wondering about it. If the provider is not interested for any reason, what is so hard about responding with something like “Thank you for your interest but I’m not available.” It’s doesn’t seem like good business to not respond at all. But maybe that’s not important to them. Whatever I am missing here let me know.
  17. I saw him twice when he was in Houston (prior to his move to Austin). Very unusual, I agree, but not bad. PM me for details.
  18. I agree! I’ve been there twice recently and great experiences both times. Also the price is very reasonable for what you get.
  19. I agree with @dutchal. There are times when all I want is a good therapeutic massage and nothing more. It helps to know from the provider that it will only be therapeutic.
  20. Looks amazing. His location says Manhattan but only through the 5th. Where is he normally? What kind of rate does he charge?
  21. This is a very helpful conversation about price. I am grateful for this site and everyone’s perspective. I recognize that prices for everything have gone up significantly and that people are needing “touch” just to say sane. We are made to need touch and covid and now MP are warring against that. I have received a superb massage for sometime for around $150/90min (before tip) from private well trained masseurs who are extremely health conscious and take all the precautions with clean sheets and towels and you name it. If those providers go up in price, I will pay the increase. But others who charge higher than $180 for so much less, I can’t risk that. I will pay for good quality and value but not for something that doesn’t help my own quality of life. I think individual experience with masseurs and hiring and one’s own needs helps sort through where the risk lines are.
  22. Just to let everyone know, I had a very good experience this week with “WhyNot Men’s Spa” NYC. First time there and it was a half price day and the service was great. Excellent manicure and pedicure too.
  23. Worlds for me this morning…
  24. Not sure because I only saw Jorge and Rodrigo at the old location. I really the Chris there now however.
