I never gave it much thought. We were all there naked. First time getting a look at the variety of equipment. I guess that would never fly today.

Not as exotic of a flight, but I used to fly to MIA once a month. Would leave after work to get business class on the on 3 cabin that departed early evening. The lights approaching MIA are colorful. The buildings, and the outer areas. Took me a couple of trips in to realize the green lights were pools.

I've taken three. Smaller boats, and ports that are not full of the huge ships are best. I do agree that a big negative is the short time allowed to see a place. A positive, is if you just have no interest in being a tourist, and stay onboard, time in port really goes by fast.

Unfortunately, sometimes meds give me dry mouth. I compensate by drinking something beforehand, but tough to produce the slurp.

I heard back today too. He responded to my question of whereabouts he planned to host, and he said he did not know yet. I think he so far would like to visit, as he didn't indicate it may not happen, although, last I checked, he no longer has Chicago in his ad. I agree, seems like a nice guy.

I emailed him today, and he responded to my initial email about a couple of hours later. I had a 2nd question, emailed him, and have not heard back from him yet. Not concerned yet, as it will be a while before he is scheduled to visit Chicago. There are a few threads if you search for TimNYC. Those in the SPA are all favorable.
