Now, talking about exotic food, let's extent a bit further: have you guys had durian and enjoyed it? I am at the point that I can live with it.

Being very brave about food let me just say I don’t think I’ve seen but one or two things in this thread I haven’t tried! Had lion meat one time (farm raised, calm down).

Here’s a little more info for Vegas visitors
There are some very nice “off-strip” places with a wide variety of prices and amenities. One significant advantage many will have is much cheaper dining, probably free parking and reduced (or no) “resort fees”. Most are on a major bus route / monorail allowing fairly easy (but maybe not 24hr) access to the Strip. Aside from the normal motel chains if you’re looking for a more “casino resort flavor” you might consider some of these. I’m sure I’ve missed some other good ones.
Near Strip West Side
Rio Casino
Gold Coast Casino
Palms Casino
The Orleans Casino
Palace Station Casino
Artisan Hotel (Small Boutique Hotel - no casino)
Near Strip East Side (Most on Paradise or Koval)
Spring Hill Suites
Renaissance Hotel
Hard Rock Casino
Hooters Casino
Far South:
Silverton Casino
South Point
The M resort
East Side
Green Valley Ranch Resort
Sunset Station Casino
Fiesta Henderson
Eastside Cannery Casino
Far West Side
Red Rock Casino
Rampart Casino
Suncoast Casino
Far North
Aliante Casino
The Cannery
Texas Station Casino
Fiesta Rancho Casino
Santa Fe Station Casino
Try to avoid the situation of having to regularly traverse the I-15 / US 93/95 spaghetti bowl intersection. Road construction there is ugly.
Edit Added following: Downtown possibilities, "probably" to free parking and added disclaimer.
And, of course, there’s the “old” Las Vegas Downtown Casinos and Hotels:
Golden Nugget Casino
California Hotel Casino
Main Street Station Casino
Plaza Casino
Four Queens Casino
Binions Gambling Hall
Most are on or near the Fremont Street Experience.
Disclaimer: Exercise due diligence prior to making any time or financial commitments.

Nowadays most of the male escorts from China mainland Photoshop their pictures to death. Looking at this guy's pictures closely, you can easily tell his face was massively Photoshopped. Hate to say that, but as soon as I saw the pictures, I knew it was too good to be true.

I just posted some pics of the Cleo room in the pyramid at Luxor. It's not super fancy but it is nice and the bed and pillows are comfy. The pics are in my IG link below.
Hugs,

I second that emotion regarding Draven Navarro. I met him in Palm Springs at the Forum Weekend last month and he is the real-deal. Very muscular, extremely sensuous, and a total sweetheart. I highly recommend.

Met him at Palm Springs last year but didn’t get the chance to hire him.
We met at this year’s event and had a great time. Looking forward to to see Alex again soon.

I thought all those male strip shows were targeted for female audience? You can't go there by yourself as you would be just so out of place... Any gay strip shows?

I liked Excalibur. It's a no frills kind of place and I think that the thunder from down under perform there. Stratosphere has a relaxing oxygen bar. I prefer the downtown area myself and the Plaza is a neat if not great place to stay.

Excellent advice. I used to be able to negotiate the resort fee down when they first started opting not to charge things to the room, but it’s not possible any more. Other mid-priced acceptable places are Monte Carlo, Mirage (which I like a lot) and Planet Hollywood. And actually Tropicana has been revitalized and is a good value. Avoid Luxor, Excalibur, New York New York, Circus Curcus like the plague. The SLS can be a good value and they even have a Hilton Garden Inn on property. I love their restaurants and the casino isn’t too big.

yes, LINQ is the old Imperial Palace....I don't know if the rooms have been upgraded since the name change, but my stay there about six years ago pre-LINQ was only average, as you suggested......
if you're able to travel on weekdays, that will help a lot in getting a lower hotel rate.....prices are much higher on Friday and Saturday nights.....try to avoid a large convention time
yes, the resort fees are high and I think almost all the Strip hotels have them now.....just gotta accept it....you can ask what is included in the fee at check in.....also, be ready for parking fees nowadays at some hotels if you rent a car.....
use hotwire or priceline for good rates......I'd stay with a "four star" category hotel at hotwire to be in the Treasure Island-level......remember that you may not know your hotel until purchase at hotwire - just choose four- or five-star in a mid-Strip location and you should be fine
check out @not2rowdy 's excellent thread here and the links he has.....good stuff

Wow, now I am learning something new. I didn't know there was already some facility established in the early 50s. Thanks for the information Kenny!

Wow, I thought it was built in the ‘50s!
Edit — Just found this: The hotel was established in May 1952, but it was expanded several times before it became the landmark it is known as today. The swimming pool, tennis court, and the membership lounge were constructed in 1953, and the Golden Dragon Pavilion and Golden Dragon Restaurant opened in 1956. The Jade Phoenix Pavilion and Chi-Lin Pavilion opened in 1958 and 1963, respectively. In 1968 the hotel was rated as one of the world's top ten hotels by the US Fortune magazine. Finally, on the Double Tenth Day of 1973, the main Grand Hotel building was completed and became an instant Taipei icon.
A 21-year building program. So maybe we’re both sort of right!

The main building of the Grand Hotel Taipei in the mid-70’s. Overnight courtesy of the airline that had a mechanical issue that delayed my flight 24 hours. My first bathroom experience that had a telephone by the throne.

The Upper House was right next to my office in Pacific Place when I was working in HK. We used to go there for after-work drink. The view was indeed very nice, but I never got a chance to get inside the guest rooms to check them out.
Talking about city skylights, Manhattan has nothing on Hong Kong.

Glad someone else here also stayed at the Sukhothai! It was just amazing. I had always wanted to stay at the Oriental in Bangkok, but haven’t gotten the chance yet. I know it has often been named the world’s number one hotel for the last god knows how many years, all due to their legendary service.
