Artisanal bread, artisanal cheese, artisanal cocktail, and so on. Meaning what? It doesn't suck??
His head literally exploded after he tasted my artisanal, hand crafted cocktail, with my secret, creamy ingredient!

Using preventative when preventive was the original adjective drives me nuts.
Are you taking any preventative measures to avoid performance gaps?
We say corrective action, and so we also say preventive action, not preventative action. But with increased usage, preventative has becoming an accepted adjective.
Hope you are all having a proactive weekend. I brought work home. Trying to figure out how my team will get to the next level.

Let's not forget that Shelley Winters' Poseidon Adventure character was a swimmer.

What consenting adults do is none of my business.
On the other hand, BigRic brings up an interesting point. I sometimes wonder who the men are that offer more money for bareback sex to an escort who says he doesn't do it. Just for the thrill of it? Is it exciting knowing that you forced somebody to do it? You could have a kid out on his luck, having a bad month, needing money for rent - a myriad of other reasons - who then accepts to bareback for more money. Just because he needs it. Or because he is desperate. You got to wonder how consensual it really is. I am sorry, I find that creepy.

If 'bareback' is that important, I'd recommend BarebackRT.com instead of offering more money as supposed compensation for higher risk activity to an escort who says he doesn't do that.

Mais non. Again, I disagree, based on the principle that assimilation from one language into another happens all the time and shouldn't be counted in the same way. If you're going to see the great cathedral in Paris, it's (approximately)"No-tra Dahm." If you're going to be the QB for the Fighting Irish at that university in Indiana, it's "No-duhr Daym." And that's that.
Any lawyers on here want to defend the often brutally twisted Anglicised pronunciations of (formerly) Latin legal terms?

On the internet, when people type a period after each word in a sentence as if to emphasize everything.
Oh. My. God. I. sincerely. hate. that.

"Speaking truth to power"
Not that I don't agree with the definition - just that the phrase has become a very tired cliche. It's also always sounded rather pretentious to me.

As an Australian I cringe Everytime I hear someone say
"literally".
Sadly it's normally am American.
It's an unnecessary word.
Our flight was delayed, we were literally just waiting longer. Wtf.

When referring to a meal, "grab."
