Perhaps true. But most 20 somethings live in a fantasy world of social media pages. They seek constant validation and ACTUALLY meeting up with someone doesn't allow them to use the necessary glamor filters to achieve the full effect.

I am confused by this statement. I didn't claim to BE "an expert". I claimed to be informed and knowledgeable on the subject. Which I am. Did the facts change over the last 40 years ? No they did not. The institutions closed 40 years ago...so the reports on the quality of life in each is the same as it was 40 years ago. You can't investigate any further than what was done. As far as my being a high school student....what makes you assume that I was too dumb to do quality research ? My statement stands: The media exaggerated the point about a few outlier institutions that had lost their standards. For the most part, the mental institutions in the United States provided a decent quality of life for thousands of people with serious mental problems. FAR better than the mere food and housing they ended up with in prison.

What don't you understand ? I did a lot of research on the subject because it was the topic of our junior debate championship. It was about ten years after the mental institutions has released thousands of people and a huge majority of them had landed in jail.

To her credit...( and really BOTH my parents )...when I was going through my gay phase in my 20s, they never batted an eyelash and always supported me in any relationships I was involved in. The only flack I ever got was when I was 14 years old and came home covered in hickies ....from my then, girlfriend who was 17 and you could probably just smell the sex on me. When I started experimenting with men, I (jokingly) blamed my mother for making a big deal about having sex with a girl and said it was all her fault. 😝

Which is the basis of my question. Since humans seem to be able to manage sexual relationships with either gender when left with no choices, it is a reasonable conclusion that there is a degree of sexual flexibility more than people usually admit to. Naval ships are known for their homosexual activity, as are prisons. Extract the choice, and you make do with what you've got. So yes...bisexuality does seem to be a default setting for the majority of humans. That's why I was asking how many gentlemen here felt they were absolutely never - ever attracted to the opposite sex and how many have dabbled in both, ultimately choosing a preference. For me it's all about the person, not the "parts".

Agreed. I was estimating the average annual business model. Certainly a hot young man who's just in town for the week has his hole stretched to it's limits over the course of the week. (This is why I would never hire such a person) Because he won't share an ejaculation since he's got to perform for another gentleman or two after I've had my way with him. Not to mention those who are already so burnt out they can't even get it up. I am not turned on if my sexual partner isn't turned on. ( Or at least good at pretending ).

It does because the mental hospitals were staffed by doctors and nurses who are paid more than prison guards. Primarily, the cost of running separate facilities was the more likely consideration. The whole legal argument was over the idea that you can't "imprison" someone who hasn't comitted a crime ( a reasonable argument to be made). But eventually these people would get arrested for some small crime and some would commit crimes of violence. This was all at a time when private companies were profiting from the growth of prison populations. They were expanding jail cells to house the incarceration of mentally ill and the "three strikes and you're out" policy toward marijuana sales that saw thousands of black teenagers thrown behind bars for the mere sale of a "dime bag".

I remember for me it was my first day of kindergarten. My mother picked me up and asked how my day went. I said the teacher was nice, we had cookies and I met a cute boy and a cute girl. My mother corrected me saying that I could find the girl to be "cute" but the boys are just your friends. You don't look at boys that way. So I figured my mother has no idea what she was talking about and so I never discussed it with her again. 😉

Yes. It works very well. I get hundreds of spam-mails every week that are collected in the spam folder. Very rarely does anything get through. But of course nothing is perfect. I'd say maybe one or two every few days out of the 100 legitimate weekly e-mails On my business account. 1 or two a week on my personal account.

I keep saying it's the return of the aristocracy. While they get us fighting over social issues, ultra-rich Globalists are taking ownership of half the world. The billionaire class is growing while the middle class is struggling to pay their bills. We are fast returning to the Middle Ages and indentured servitude.

The situation was over exaggerated by the media. There were far more well-run facilities than there were "nightmares". This was an example of "throwing the baby out with the bath water". You didn't need to dismantle the entire system to fix the few outliers

They were locked up. And most were well cared for for many many years. Now there are huge facilities sitting mostly empty since the 1980s. Still waiting for someone to finally come to the conclusion that allowing mentally ill people to have the same rights to self determination as everyone else is dangerous for them and dangerous for everyone else.

Every morning I go across the street to get a coffee and I am visually assaulted by fat chicks in their Lululemon on their way back from their morning run. It's as if they WANT people to see every inch of cellulite they are sporting on their ass and thighs. Not sure I've noticed that 1% yet.
