  1. Leonard Nimoy (1931-2015), played a character named Indio in six episodes of the television show Sea Hunt (1958-1961). The show starred Lloyd Bridges and helped launch the careers of Nimoy, Bruce Dern, Robert Conrad, Larry Hagman, Bridges' sons Beau and Jeff, and Jack Nicholson (who appeared in the last episode of the series). Seen below in Sea Hunt in 1958, Nimoy is 27:

    I've now seen two more of the four episodes. For Salt, you're in Japan. For Acid, you're in Mexico.

     

    The travel aspect is kind of a bonus to the emphasis on cooking/taste/eating, but it's a beautifully photographed, very appealing "extra."

     

    (I spent a lot of the first episode contemplating my next trip to Italy. Been too long.)
