Coulda told ya. I live there. But I’ve been criticized for my less than impressed perceptions.
Why would you be criticized by members of this board for your honest less than pollyannish views of Le Village when you live there?
Say it ain't so SirBillybob?
Next thing you know, you're going to tell me people are starting to email you directly in their (failed) attempt to control the narrative.

My surmise is that @SirBillybob is writing from Brazil and my best guess would be Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo
Or Pattaya, Thailand such as Walking Street. Maybe even Colombia.

Regarding July 17th, I believe it says "10 years since Jerry has been owner of Taboo."

ArriveCAN will be in use until September 30th.

I used to go to Windsor, Detroit, Ann Arbor and Flint for gay "clubs". Today they are far and few between, likely due to the internet and Grindr.

Sounds heavenly. Glad you're enjoying the trip with fantastic weather.

Pat70, based on last weekends lineup, Taboo would be your first choice. However, dancer lineup constantly changes; so it would be best to check out both Taboo (dancers start 8-9pm) and Expose (dancers start a little later 9-10pm).
12is12: I will post in your other thread about Hotels.
Good advice. Hopefully the twinks are plentiful this Summer

I'm in Montreal now for the same period as the op. Won't be going to the stripper bars this time also. Maybe some time in the future.
Hope you and your guests are enjoying the OMNI!

Finally, a reader DM’d me to criticize my input and to categorize it as problematic in the same way he considered another member, he also named, to make contributions he opined were similarly lacking in value. What is this … middle school? How immature and inflammatory. I thought we were all adults here. Obviously, I am not reading his lame follow-up.
Gee-whiz. I wonder who that could be....
SirBillyBob I think it's time to name names!

Sometimes there is bad journalism. Like where you find most of your news.
Haha, says the guy who thinks a walk from the Village to downtown is a "short walk."
Wise up!

I agree the village is not a short walk to downtown, more like a 10 minute cab ride. In Montreal right now and one thing to consider is that is a safe place to visit. Crime seems to be very low and thank God, no mass shootings. Of course its had a few in the past but I can only recall one that happened over 30 years ago and led to tightened gun restrictions. And more are coming.
I agree the Village is not a short walk to downtown.

Thx, but I'm still stuck with my question - where to stay.
MCBG wrote that "the village is only a short walk from downtown and old mntrl". According to gglmps it's 30 mnts; that is, if Stock is still licated at Catherine and & Montcalm....
I wasn't aware hotel rates were so high. )-:
You lost me at "MCBG wrote..."
The guy doesn't even know it's a 30-minute walk each direction from the Village to downtown.

You haven't been to Montreal in years and before COVID, you kept posting about how much you hated it. I don't see why you keep posting in these threads.
Good Lord! If this triggers this response in you, regarding my good faith postings on this message board, then you're seriously more miserable than I thought. I hope you enjoy my AirBnB suggestions! Your ignorance and disdain for free speech is breathtakingly palpable.
I don't see why YOU keep posting in these threads.

Good news. The CDC says you no longer need a return test starting Sunday June 12th.

The Courtyard by Marriott on Rene Levesque is also centrally located and directly right off the Airport 747 bus route. Excellent location and fairly new.

I'm going off subject here, bcs of 28.
"Bring ur own shower head"? I've been to literally hundreds of hotels in almost 70 countries, and have never heard of such an idea...
Should I undrstnd that this is a familiar prblm in mntrl? Why is it prevalent in newer buildings? And how does a dfrnt shower head help? Isn't the pressure a function of the basic system rather then the point of exit?
PS - I don't want to spend 450 per night. )-:
This looks like a nice AirBnB located in the Gay Village and is less than $450
