I would tend to agree. I know for many hobbyists, a name change is the kiss of death, but for me, unless there’s some negative reviews/commentaries/experiences, why should I care “MrAlphaMan” is now “AlphaManXXL”? 🤷🏼♂️ The 54 reviews on RM represent a good cross section - not every single one is a 5 star review, in the mix of reviewers are a number of long-standing and prolific RM clients, and while I can’t say with certainty, some reviewers appear to be current/former forum members - or they at least share the same name. Having said all this, more of a concern to me is the fact that there have been zero reviews since 2021. If I were in WeHo, and interested in engaging this gent, (and trust me, if I was in WeHo, I’d be very interested - this gent is smoking hot IMO), if I had no joy here, I’d reach out to a couple of his RM reviewers, and/or see who else they reviewed, use a VPN to read the text, and google his RM name to see if anything shows up. Good luck!! 👍🏻 Come back, and let us know if you pulled the trigger, and if so, how it went. Cheers, BBD

Some may very well think that, but I couldn’t possibly comment.
-
Nothing like that at all. This gent is monetising his looks, and specifically targeting gay men - a group which going by his public comments, he holds a very low opinion of. Given this, why would I or any gay man want to help someone like this continue to make money off of us? It’s basically an extension of my “shop local” mantra - there’s plenty of hot, out, gay men to thirst over.
-
No, it doesn’t but I just try to thirst after gents who, you know, aren’t disgusted by me, who I sleep with. 😉

I would understand the concern over his different RM names if there was negative chatter about him under any/all of them. But there’s not. In fact, other than one poster who made one negative 2 word comment without context that I’m disregarding, all the posts have been universally positive - and from established, respected contributors here. If given all that, you’re still clutching pearls saying “red flags! red flags!”, that’s on you. I couldn’t give a tinker’s cuss over why this gent, or any gent, changes his RM name. As long as there’s no negative commentary about the gent under any name, I fail to see why it would even be an issue. Just my tuppence. BBD

I think you’re mistaken - of the 8 RM reviews, 6 are 5 Star, and 2 are 1 star. Those two both indicate the ambience was not relaxing. I didn’t do a VPN to read any text, or check which of his reviewers have history. BBD

You’re entitlement, and inability to see beyond your own myopic view of real life is ridiculous - and not limited to this topic. This isn’t about flakes, which are an entirely different category all together. This is about well regarded, well reviewed providers who often aren’t able to drop everything to reply to a potential client’s text ASAP. The lump them all together is a disservice to the latter cohort. What you term “excuses” are in fact real life scenarios. If I’m in the office, chances are I’m not responding to any text. If I’m working remotely, there’s a better chance I’ll answer, but if things are busy/crazy, probably not. If I’m out to dinner, my phone is off - IMO it’s the height of bad manners to be on your phone when in company. Most of my friends and I have a “no phone” rule for dinner parties we host - again it’s just bad manners to be on your phone rather than engaging. In all these scenarios, that would be more than 3 hours before I’d respond to a text. As far as studies go, there is a provider that while he no longer advertises, maintains availability to former regulars, but when he did advertise he was in graduate school, and his ad made it quite clear hours/days of availability as well as the fact one should not expect an immediate reply. Yet, as he often bemoaned, when he did reply (and yes, sometimes after more that 3 hours - quelle horreur!) there were always some hobbyists who would make a snarky, often degrading comment on the delay in reply. I can only imagine the vitriol you’d spew if a provider while engaged with you “took a break” to start texting with potential future clients. As I said, each hobbyist needs to determine their own window to wait on a reply. To say that the 3 hour rule is the standard isn’t the case. Of course, if you’re looking for “right now” or today, that’s different - but in this hobby, as with all things in life, you always start with Plan A, but you make sure you have a Plan B, C, etc. ready just in case.
