  1. If I made a major faux pas in a post here, and I'm sure I have, and if someone nicely corrected me, I hope I'd be appreciative. Or same thing if I were advertising.

I think I was respectful in my discussion of the bad grammar with him. I didn't use any pejorative language. I'm sure he's most likely seen dominate being used the same way he uses it in other ads. If it were me, and someone pointed out that kind of mistake, I hope I'd use it to correct my ad to put me a step above my competitors.

If the escort in question decides to give you advice on how to be a better doctor, please share. I am sure your graciousness will be beyond compare.

  2. @YoungAD, long time ( at least on the threads I've been following lately) no hear from. How the heck are you and your family? I hope it won't be considered presumptuous of me to wish you and them a spectacular autumn.

Thinking the best of you, I remain cordially yours,

    Gman

Going online to find a poorly-written ad and then lording your oneupsmanship like some sort of trophy is not your finest hour.

And conversely, some of Marylander’s posts of late have encouraged me to write the following: I owe you an apology. And I am glad that we seem to stand on common ground on a number of topics that are far more important at the end of the day than most.

  3. Thank-you for the kind words.

I can sense the sarcasm in your statement, but let me officially state that my comments above are meant to be direct rather than kind. If you are going to post obnoxious comments about your dislike of other cultures and couch your comments as some sort of faux concern about the “dumbing down” of our country, then you should prepare to read some alternate viewpoints. Especially since you may not be aware of the cultural backgrounds of other posters on this forum, and what sort of personal hurdles they and their families have had to overcome to be considered “American.”

  4. I think those pictograms might be considered sexist as the female one is often shown wearing a skirt.

You should abandon this spurious concern sooner, rather than later. It is doubtful a movement to replace exit signage will occur anytime soon, nor shall we start using prams or lorries. But you can always personally address your concern with the “dumbing down” of America by taking a second or even third look before you post about some of the topics you find so fascinating.

  5. Watching a British show (Coronation Street) I noticed that instead of an EXIT sign in the Court House, the sign said WAY OUT.

I hope that doesn't spread here to the US. I think it's dumbing down.

But doing away with EXIT signs is another nail in the coffin of the universality, commonality of the Latin language.

The USA has become a multi-lingual nation. The signs can not be in all the myriad of languages.

For someone so concerned with language, both of your posts are awkwardly written.

    And self-serving.

  6. Walmart would be the very last choice I would consider. Both of my children worked in restaurants and bars, made a ton of money and friends. My niece is a manager at a small coffee shop and started two years ago with no experience.

One other thing: I would share the narrative above with no one. The employee who gets the job is happy and outgoing and will fit in, even if you must fake it.

  7. Man turns on pet cam just as friend leaps to her death

A 51-year-old woman who was apartment-sitting leaped to her death Monday morning — as her horrified pal watched in real time from a dog camera inside the Midtown home, sources told The Post.

The woman — a California resident with a history of psychiatric problems (isn't that redundant?:p:D;))— threw herself from the building on Park Avenue near East 36th Street around 8:50 a.m., sources said.

The apartment owner tried calling her while on his way home from the airport but after getting no answer, he cued into his dog cam. That’s when he witnessed her opening a window and jumping out.

The woman landed in a courtyard in the back of the building, sources said.

FDNY medics responded to the scene and declared her dead, fire officials said.

Her body was removed around 10:20 a.m.

Details about why the woman jumped were not immediately available. Sources said she didn’t leave a note.

Is suicide really funny enough to need four emoticons?

  8. I reached out to a provider on RM, told him I found him attractive and that his services aligned with my interests. Asked him his rate. His reply: "Hey there, thanks! I usually like to hear an offer first...." So replied with a $$ range that I usually try to stay within (it wasn't $30, but it wasn't $400 either). His reply was peevish and insulted, and cut off further discussion.

    Time wasted on both sides....

Without a name, your post is not particularly helpful.

  9. So, I find many of them interesting. I would think you might have more productive things to do than to count how many times a fellow poster posts.

It was only quite recently that the OP himself posted his achievement of reaching 5000 posts. My observation is that at his current rate he will reach 17 thousand posts by the same time next year.

Other forum members have posted similar observations regarding the frequency of Avalon’s threads, so perhaps you should come down from your high horse.

  10. Yup. But it’s generally seen as bad form to discuss this topic openly with clients.

    And? Your point is?

Clients read this forum. Hence discussing this topic openly in front of clients is bad form. This is better discussed privately in places that only escorts have access to read. If you received the information you needed privately, that’s great. Discussing the topic openly in front of clients is considered bad form. Since you didn’t even know that these types of sites existed, seemed relevant to inform you of. Just because this is the Ask An Escort forum does not mean that all topics are appropriate here. Regardless I’m pleased that you received the information you needed... privately. It’s better if no further details are provided on this very CLIENT-facing platform.

In the future, if you need information from other escorts that should not be discussed in front of clients, it’s best to add a note to your OP asking for responses via DM only.

Your opinion regarding the appropriateness of this topic is exactly that, your opinion. Having one does not make it fact.

And you could have just as easily followed your own advice and addressed your concerns to the OP via private message instead of schooling them openly.
