I defer to the other reply to this thread--it is accurate. Very sorry I missed Raphael Alencar when he was in SF. Yeah, several audience members got involved (oral and anal) with the two guys giving the sex show. I don't know if they were plants or not. The performers were however letting general audience members suck and finger. Check the website for "sex shows" specifically. Headliners do not perform there every week--the duo I saw did only 2 sex shows that week--Fri and Sat evening. Mutual JO shows are also scheduled in a separate room from time to time. On a routine evening with just the local talent, things can get pretty dull unless you hook up with a dancer you particularly like. Also, a featured porn star increases the attendance which tends to raise the energy level. I have not been there on "naked night" (sounded dubious to me) or for "rookie night" (sounded pretty hit and miss) so I can't weigh in on those. This past visit, I found the guys at the front desk to be conversational and helpful. Per a discussion I had with one of the dancers, the management needs to encourage and assist the "dancers" to be more theatrical--themes, concepts, stage persona, costumes, props, better lighting, dramatic pacing, etc. Many of the guys just take off their clothes (stripping would be an overstatement) and walk around carrying a towel looking bored--this is not sexy or entertaining. I am not suggesting elaborate production numbers here, but the guys need to work on their stage presence.

Weird law in DR where you have to be around the entire investigation and it takes week, so I've heard of Dominican guys targeting people who admit to leaving soon, because they know the person won't stay the duration of the investigation)
 
But DR is a VERY poor country and almost any guy will have sex for money, especially the straight guys.
 
 
If you dont want to pay for sex, you can still easily get guys at Apolo Spa...it's a legit gay spa with hot guys who arent rent boys

I've stayed at Adam Suites and it's the only gay hotel in Santo Domingo.. it's okay..the only issue is the owner Gilbert, but it's a great place to meet guys and make friends
 
I've also stayed at Duque De Wellington.....yuck! I was there 4 months ago...no guys in the lobby and the owners couldn't help me find any guys at all..also the hotel is dirty and restaurant horrible!! The staff is very friendly though
 
My favorite place that's gay friendly and affordable and very nice would be Hotel Boutique Palacio. It's amazing and I always have guys in there with no problems, they just let the hotel make a copy of their ID and they don't charge you for guests...best hotel and best gay friendly hotel in SD in my opinion
 
My 2nd favorite would be Billini Hotel. Same as Palacio, except a little more money. But another great gay friendly hotel...
 
Everywhere else is a dump and IMO SD is NOT the place where you want to stay at a dump because you can look on tripadvisor and see many of these dumps with bed bugs and also guests being robbed also the cheaper hotels lose electricity fairly often... So do research and don't always choose the cheapest option, because it's not worth it.

First time to The Nob was as a youth in 1978 on a solo visit to family in the east bay - a day trip into the city. Much seedier then, but some nice flesh to look at. It was also my first time seeing gay porn - this is pre-VCR. Was still a gay virgin and the whole experience (even though I only looked, did not touch) left me racing, and enlightened. I still try to make it there when in the city - I'm more financially prepared to interact with the dancers there now, and even got to suck off a patron through a glory hole in the arcade last time. Almost 40 yrs of memories...

The worst was the loooong waits between sets.

Went to the Nob Hill Theater Thursday afternoon March 10th around 3 pm. My observation is that most of the "dancers" (I use the term loosely since none of them can dance) were more attractive than I had experienced previously, but lacked even a modicum of stage presence. They seemed to be phoning it in. Most simply removed there clothing (the term "stripping" would imply some attempt at theatricality which was totally lacking) and walked around the stage carrying a towel. All were amenable to serious touching during the lap dances in the audience. A few attempted to connect with audience members on a personal level, others just went through the motions.
 
As I mentioned, the guys were attractive. Fernando is a masculine Hispanic of solid build--very straight looking with a nice piece. Not very exciting on stage, but pretty friendly in the audience--his body felt great to the touch. Ian is very good looking (now sports a beard which works for him) and has an attractively proportioned, solid but not muscular body and and a very large endowment which remained at full attention throughout his show. He paraded himself through the audience allowing intimate fondling, but made no attempt to connect--seemed to be on another planet. Adilson was the exception. He has a great body, wide and muscular across the chest and upper arms and trim and tight in the waste and the butt. Attractive face that gets more handsome as his personal charm begins to emerge. Average endowment. He actually tried to be sexy on stage and showed himself off well. In the audience, he was very friendly and personable and quite the turn on. Based on his sexy body and winning personality, I hired him for a private show during which he was fun, communicative, sexy and fully engaged (great ass!) Adilson is from Mexico and is a really sweet guy--very hot.
 
I returned Saturday evening for a sex show by headliners Ryan Cummings (famous justifiably for multiple cummings) and veteran performer Casey Williams. It was very much a sex show with audience participation--rather surprised me. Both guys exhibited astonishing stamina over the course of a full hour. Things got about as up front and graphic as one might hope. Apparently, anything goes in San Francisco.
 
I popped in again the next day, a very rainy Saturday, at 1:00 pm specifically to see Victor--my favorite. I met Victor at the Nob Hill 4 years ago, and again about 1 year ago (he remembered me!) Victor looks absolutely fantastic!--much more fit than he was a year ago and with a flattering new hair style. He is a drop dead gorgeous, masculine, muscular Brazilian stud. Victor, unlike any of the other performers, has stage presence and tries to give a real performance while he is up there. Amazing what a little creativity will do. In a private show (my third with the guy) he is super hot and very, very nice. I can't get over how really great he looks these days. He performs there only 3 days a week now (has a day job) and generally only 1 or 2 shows per day--one in the early afternoon and sometimes another in the evening generally during the week. He is not opposed to meeting outside the theater and sometimes advertises as a masseur, but not in SF.
 
About the Nob Hill Theater in general, it is very clean, freshly painted and well maintained--staff is friendly. The restroom is not an embarrassment. The "rooms" for private shows are small (large enough for most non-horizontal activities,) clean and comfortable. The video arcade downstairs has been upgraded with high quality monitors showing 100 channels--all videos are free with the $20 entrance fee ($25 when headliners are featured.) Booths have configurations to accommodate a variety of personal preferences. There is also a very decent playroom--again clean and well maintained. Activities in the arcade and playroom do not seem to be monitored, so one could get away with most reasonable activities. Safe sex is promoted, but a high level of privacy is offered. The clientele is predictably uninspiring. I was not attracted to any of the other patrons, and none of them was attracted to me--no big surprise here. Others may I assume may have a different experience. Depending on the day of the week or the time of day, the Nob Hill can be pretty dull for hours at a time, but I like to stop by when I am in town (not very often) to see if anything interesting is going on.

There is only 1 beach in SD, the Malecon goes from left to right (facing the sea) the beach is located the far LEFT whilst looking towards the sea. you can not miss the cruise ferry port on the far left in SD, closest hotel is probably the Napoleon Hotel & Casino

Hotel discovery I stayed at last time, it was good there, normally its the Duke of weelington, but discovery from now on as its on the El Conde. Nude bathers, no nearly nude lol skimpy briefs, boxers....the beach is the only 1 in SD...located far left of the malecon towards the ferry/cruise ship terminal

Yes 1,600 pesos , it was about 35GBP, btw it was so good I did give a tip, I paid 2,000 pesos. I would love to be part of a group going, so if anyone plans, let me know, I personally plan for Late Jan/Feb 2016. the hotel was the discovery, gay friendly, visitors allowed with ID. I had no need to visit bars or clubs, the boys were about all day, so by the evening I was tired lol , I have been to phoenix (boys bar) JD, Aires and others before, but in those places you find the 'Professional' hustler. I prefer a little hunt on the El Conde, Malecon, or mall (Sambil) there is a good catchment area at the far left of the Malecon, the locals beach. looks a little rough, but that's were the local opportunist gay4pay go to bathe. they can be seen nearly nude swimming and relaxing under the palm trees, I always position my self on the stairs that lead down. everyone has to pass you. when they see a possible 'John' they pose for your attention, they give the eye contact and crotch squeezing. just make sure the ID is in order before making plans. there is one 'Hatian' shoe shine boy called 'Francois' he has ID, he is just 18 and knows his 'wood' is a magnet, 10 inches, thick. he like to sit on the malecon and rub himself, show a peak, then invite himself to take you to an economy room. 1,000 pesos is his charge. he doesn't do anything but allow you to do all the work. he goes to completion though. tight blu black smooth body, great smile, good skin. he now has a side kick he is training , Moreno, good looking but I never tried. I have tried to visit at least 2 times per year, some times I have managed 4 a year.
Last Visit July 10-17th 2015. due to a injury I had not been 1n 18 months previously.
 
So back track, 18 months ago, I enjoyed some company with a couple of local pay4play, but on leaving i thought, well I had a good time with friends I have met (Dominicans) good seeing them, on the Boy front, I thought, used to be better, not less boys but the quality seemed to have gone down.mostly white and between 25-40, not looking good, looked like anybody you can find in new York, London or Milan...not what I travel to the Caribbean for.

'What's your name he asked' John' ahhh your accent your not American, no im British, iv always wanted to visit London, one day he says, silence......then....are you 'Active or Passive', as Im passive with guys'? huh I stammer...he repeats the question...active or passive? active I reply....good, do you want to 'fuck me'..... yes my voice almost dry and broken....he turns to the girl......I am going with him now I will see you later, he stands up, I stand up, so where is your hotel, discovery....he walks on, and I join, we take the side parallel street to the hotel, just as we arrive he says, regalo for me, you pay me yes, how much I ask, how much am I worth, you really want me, he then placed his hand onto and then into my zipper, you want me a whole lot, he laughs, 1,600 pesos and if you enjoy my ass, a tip, but that's up to you!, we agreed terms, went into the hotel. Jose then said undress me, do what you want to me, take control of me. of course I did.....2 hrs later and he was passive & totally smooth, he left, telling me to be in the same place the next day, this was not possible, but we did meet 2 more times.
 
Okay getting back to SD, the improvement in my eyes was amazing, not only did I see Jose, but a least 8 more super looking black guys, they don't hang about the usual place, they stay in the street around the fast food chicken outlet Rey Polo, and the parallel street. all were well groomed and phyne looking.

The el conde has had a refurbishment near the hard Rock café, the el conde is the same but cleaner, the discovery was very comfortable. the malecon had many shoe shine boys, as we all know don't even talk with them, they never leave you alone, follow and annoy.
Villina Hors restaurant has been refurbished and the food, service was great, the waiters were all Moreno models 18-25yrs, and all were available, some really sexy guys (down independencia Av), 20 yards from Duke of wellington hotel)
