Exactly! Such questions aren't going to seperate the legit client from a time-waster, cause they can say anything in response and still not show up. I get that perhaps he thinks that this is a way to validate the person that shows up is the same person he was speaking with, but I can't imagine a scenario in which it wouldn't be. You really just have to trust your gut with whether someone is genuine or just chatting you up with no real intent of scheduling. There's been plenty of suggestions on here as to how to recognize behavior or messages that are indicative of time-wasters. I think it's better to rely on those, as well as instinct and intuition rather than ask a whole bunch of unnecessary questions that could turn off a client.

When I'm scheduling with someone all that I ask is their name and I invite them to tell me anything they would like about themselves and what they enjoy, that way they can share whatever they feel is relevant. I don't see how someone's job is in anyway relevant to making an appointment. It can make for good conversation once we are together, but isn't important in advance.

My AirBNB account hasn't been working since shortly after I opened my account. The messages I send don't get replied to and when I try to "Instant Book" I get an error message.
