  1. Elvis pre-1960! Thank you very much... Kipp
  2. In direct answer to your question, yes...but only in the Roman Catholic Church! Kipp
  3. Nope-- my Midwestern sensibilities/coordination prevent such activity! Kipp
  4. Check out this skilled cutie fisherman who has a perfect bod! http://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/2018/05/10/shark-wrangler-catches-12-foot-hammerhead-off-florida-beach-gets-more-attention-for-his-abs.html
  5. Will was almost bald on top...where is this new crop of hair coming from? Kipp
  6. It's all a question of shelf life--when life no longer seems doable and options are few I hope death comes quickly. My interactions with folks in their 90's is that it's time to go; their friends are gone and the focus just isn't there. Peace, Kipp
  7. Just a snap and you're done! Peace, Kipp
  8. It's a truly wonderful series. Most poignant are the narrations at the beginning and ending of each show that are the supposed diary readings of one of the nurses. They are able to tackle some of the most serious themes and yet always put a wonderful humanist and positive spin on whatever happens. Nonnatus, Kipp
  9. Add to it "my truth"... we live in an age of euphemisms!
  10. "These ones" or "Those ones". Grammatically redundant and incorrect but used often by those under 30 who missed 5th grade English class!
  11. Client self-defense-- it's a good thing! Glad it ended well and I suspect he may rethink his "marketing plan". Kipp
  12. Raven, I'm quite the liberal and lean to the conservative approach only in so far as it is practical and radical. The iconoclasm of Trump et al provides the fresh air and blood to tear down those age old mothbolled institutions. It's a bit like Vatican II rattling the cage of the Church in the 60's--much of the agrandized structure and political correctness needed to be swept away. Just like the old Democat/Repulican ethos in America, much of it is no longer necessary and needs to go. Kipp
  13. Do any of the Kennedy's still live on the family compound at Hyannis Port? Kipp
  14. He was the voice I started my mornings with for many years! I think he could have announced the end of the world and I wouldn't have panicked! These lifelong legends always inspire me and it is truly sad to see them go. Kipp
  15. I love Steve Kornacki!! He brings a sense of gravitas and fairness that is usually found lacking at MSNBC! Kipp
  16. Strange enough, in many politically correct circles "...heading to middle east style lives?" would be considered a good thing! Saints preserve us... Kipp
  17. or "Oh that I might drink fully of the milk of thy comfort!" Kipp
  18. Where is St. de Blasio when we need him and his bully pulpit? Peace, Kipp
  19. While I loved the songs back in the day (one of my first LP's was the highlights of JC Superstar) for the most part it was nails on a chalk board. Alice Cooper was great but John Legend looked like he was on Lithium! Kipp
  20. "Call the Midwife" has the ability to present all at once the state of the Poplar neighborhood and the shipyard community from 1955-65. It's reached the point now where there are marginal changes in society and the neighborhood and the Anglican Church will change with it. The delicate portrayal (and exploration) of human relationships is really well done. The service of the Church and the Sisters to this impoverished community was value beyond compare. It's usually what happens-- the Church comes in and establishes apostolates that no one else wants to do. Eventually they grow and are taken over by the state or other groups and the Church moves on. Kipp
  21. Only if he makes me rise again... Kipp
