  1. Known as "docking." One of the sexiest things there is that two men do together.
  2. I think that's key. I never thought about it before until I started going to Santa Clara every week to work with my trainer. The south bay is THICK with bodybuilders. Until I saw a place with a lot of bodybuilders, I didn't notice that there are very few in San Francisco.
  3. Not sure whether a stripper bar and a gym are close enough analogs to make a prediction of success in one place based on actual success in the other place.
  4. Its always been easy for me because I like going to the gym and I enjoy training. I got my first gym membership when I was about 22 and I've been going ever since. Even though I like training a very large part of my romance with gyms and health clubs is that I love being around sweaty men. That low-level erotic charge is very energizing.
  5. Agreed. If I could actually afford sponsorship, I might feel differently about it.
  6. I can't really imagine anyone bothering to notice an old guy wandering with a hundred-dollar bill tucked behind his ear.
  7. I don't think its anything I would ever do. I could imagine myself being pretty free with gifts and such with the right guy, but sponsorship is unlikely
  8. An escort on RM asked me if I would be interested in sponsoring him.
  9. Best brand I know of right now is Everest Premium. They are isoamyl nitrite and come from Europe.
  10. Spray poppers are not any sort of nitrite. The are ethyl chloride, a primitive inhalant anesthetic agent. You have to be careful with them. Since they are an anesthetic agent, like ether or chloroform, they can knock you out cold.
  11. I'm sure you meant to write "amyl nitrite."
  12. I suppose I'm looking for something similar. Im a loner as far as training goes, but I always have time to train with a young muscleboy. I'd like somebody on the DL.
  13. Tech is an industry ripe for regulation.
  14. I wouldn't say you hear it very much outside of the region.
  15. Another expression from Rochester - "busting balls." Ordinarily, busting balls means working hard, but in this case, it means teasing somebody or giving them a hard time - busting their balls. I think I heard it used this way on the Sopranos. An alternate version is "busting chops" - "Ahhh, he's just busting your chops."
  16. But is it bragging? After all, if you live Palo Alto, you live in Palo Alto. I will admit, though, that people who live in the San Francisco Bay area like to think of it as the center of the known universe.
  17. You can also hire him as a lifestyle/image consultant. He had one service in which he would spend an entire day shopping with you to select a new wardrobe. The package included lunch and some other amenities. I thought it would be really fun to spend an entire day with him having him select clothes for me.
  18. Still there. In a harsher time, bars catering to an older crowd were known as "wrinkle bars." SF once had its share of wrinkle bars-the Twin Peaks, the New Bell Saloon, the PS, the Rocking Horse, the Lion Pub. I always wondered how one knew that it was time for him to start frequenting the Twin Peaks. I'm certainly of that age but I've never been in the place. If I were ever going to go in a bar it would probably be the Eagle.
  19. In SF, you have to make an appointment over the Internet to apply for your marriage license and pay in advance. As I remember, the marriage license issues right after application. Once you have the marriage license, you just go get married. If you want to get married at City Hall, you have to make an advance appointment. The wait can be a few weeks.
  20. It doesn't annoy me at all. I sort of like it. After all, it's pretty easy to dispose of an unwanted email.
  21. Generic Truvada = Tenvir EM. $55.00 monthly from India.
  22. Whatever gets you to the gym is a good motivation. I'm very fit, close to bodybuilder fit. My strongest motivation is a quest for personal excellence. Looking good is a strong second. Health is a distant third.
  23. A few years ago, my partner and I visited LA on Pride weekend. Being there on Pride weekend was unintentional, but fortunate. We hung out some in WeHo. We did go in a couple bars and enjoyed it. The Abbey in particular was fun. It was like stepping back in time to the glory days of gay bars- stunning bartenders with bare chests and big arms, equally stunning clientele, loud music, dancing. We had a great time, stayed for an hour or so.
  24. You have to reconstitute it. I think it might be a heavy lift for someone who isn't a do-it-yourselfer.
  25. As a matter of fact, my family lived in Greece.
