  1. That's awful...but funny. Or should that be "butt funny"?
  2. source
  3. "The reason cats are so pissy is they're God's perfect killing machines but they only weigh 8 lbs and we keep picking them up and kissing them" (source) I've only lived with one or two cats who weighed 8 pounds or less at any point in their lives. One of them was the most alpha of alpha cats, but she weighed 10 pounds when this photo was taken. (Not my current cat.) http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/lawless523/18138757/50502/50502_600.jpg
  4. I did not notice Oliver! on your list at first, @WilliamM! It was the first musical I ever saw; a cousin was in the chorus of a high school production of it. I liked it so much I bought the cast album (or made my parents buy it for me) and the sheet music. It also inspired me to try reading Oliver Twist, but at the time the Britishisms and Victorian-era vocabulary were too much for me to cope with. I returned to it later on with more success.
  5. Maybe a little too realistic?
  6. Shouldn't that be Spotted Dick like the pudding?
  7. No, that would be Mopey Dick.
  8. That's not gargling. That's a geyser!

  10. Wait a minute... The version I know is "All hat, no cattle."
  11. That's weird because from the examples I saw when I tried looking this up, it looked like both were being used as adjectives.
  12. He's hyperactive? Idk, I'm not as bothered by most of these people as you are, but my ex watches a lot of TV and cooking shows are an improvement over some of his other choices.
  13. That is the kind of thing only you would think of, Mr. Smith.
  14. Agreed, on all counts.
  15. "I feel good" sounds better to the ear and is more popular, but "I feel well" is more traditionally grammatically correct. However! "I feel good" evinces a sense of well-being that goes beyond physical health. It means "I feel positive and upbeat! All systems are go!" As such, they express two different things and are both right, although "I feel well" sounds terribly pedantic.
  16. Which also suggests that a query in the Deli is more likely to produce helpful responses than reviews alone, even here.
  17. Maybe this belongs in the Fetish Forum... Poor Rosebud. (That's the basselope.) She finds coffee shops (and modern life) horribly confusing. source
  18. I would normally post this in Friday Funnies, but it seems especially relevant to this thread. source
  19. True, but there have been instances where a negative review stirred up enough controversy that the reviewer later regretted it. Of course, it's also worked the other way, where someone didn't post a review and later regretted it.
  20. What's to prevent a negative review from getting mob-attacked too?
  21. With a very strange tail.
  22. Not so much about specific escorts, although it has happened on occasion, but in terms of general criticism of people who are fat/overweight as lazy, unattractive, and a drain on our healthcare system, sometimes complete with photos. Then there's all the handwringing about how older gents can only find partners (or partners who meet their criteria for attractiveness, which is a rant for a different day) by hiring escorts and how terrible it must be for escorts to have so many older, overweight, unattractive clients.
  23. I "liked" the post because I am fed up with body and age shaming. But I agree with the point TR has made about some of the language used being unnecessarily harsh or, in the case of an appearance in Playboy, almost certainly incorrect. As far as I know (including from personal observation), Playboy never featured explicit nudity of the type seen in porn. The most seen was some pubic hair. Therefore, it is more or less inconceivable that a Playboy Playmate's twat was exposed in a photoshoot. That kind of thing was more Hustler's thing. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pubic_Wars In fact, Playboy now has a "no nudity" policy, presumably because it can't compete with all the "free" porn on the internet.
  24. So does this mean we won't be subjected to more bodyshaming and ageshaming threads in this forum? Not very realistic, I know, but a girl can dream.
  25. This reads to me like honest sarcasm, not flattery. "Honest" in that it describes what happened; "sarcasm" in that it was not a positive experience. As such, I think it's kind of brilliant.
