People who earn more by definition are less affected by inflation. A high proportion of escorts are full-time, so like everybody else how inflation affects them is relative. I've never escorted before, so my view here may be way off. I'd say for any big city in the world, charging $300-400 USD an hour is fair. And if one sees two or three clients per day over a five day period, then that's $3000 a week minimum (assuming clients stay an hour at a time).

The unPC answer and the elephant in the room is that clients who do this usually don't want uglies contacting them. which is their right to a good degree. but then you have a strong point, they should prepare for anybody.

The analogy isn't spot on. as there are plenty of restaurants that are long-lasting that have dresscodes. the expectation is that certain restaurants, like in any other industry, will have a certain USP, branding, or positioning they are attempting to portray. as for denial of service, depending on the jurisdiction/country, this is moot. denying service to somebody wearing brown shoes may not constitute a protected class, but then firms seldom deny service on that basis alone.

I cannot speak to the USA. But in the UK, a "standard" rate is £100-250 for an hour. That's for a "normal range" escort, whether gay or cis. High-end is above £300 an hour. Most people who advertise here on Rentmen, Sleepyboy, Vivastreet, Adultwork, etc. charge in that range for whichever sex/gender. This has remained the case for some time. I recall in the 2000s, it was so. I don't think escort prices work via a calculation of revenues and intended profits. I doubt they get management accountants to do this. It just seems like a convention that's stuck. If one doesn't like their prices, move on. I personally wouldn't pay over £300 an hour for somebody, especially if they offered normal services like anal or BJs. It would have to be an extended session or they offered something specific. You see on Youtube escorts being interviewed and they'd often say that their clientele whilst not exclusively uglies cover wide range of people and they only on various criteria would they decline them. That seems fair imho. I'm not an escort and probably wouldn't become such, but i'm not sure i'd be that picky. Money is money. Provided they were clean, safe, and respectful, then I wouldn't really mind. But that's just me.

It's their right, of course. Though this is tricky in places where it's legal. Denying service arbitrarily isn't legal in many countries. There is a tacit understanding that clients of any description may show up. And it's a myth ot say that only uglies use escorts. that's completely false, since escorting has for literally millennia been a path for anybody looking for easy sex. If escorts want pics so be it. there is no rule or law sayig they shouldn't. but then offering paid sex is not the same as normal hook-up sex, and it really takes a definite kind of person to be an escort really. provided a person isn't stinky then generally most don't mind.

It's not old, no. but then not sure many guys in their early 20s normally look for guys nearly double their age in their normal sex lives. saying it's "common" is probably only true in very hyper-liberal spaces, and it's like cis people. Few cis guys or girls in their early 20s date men/women nearly 40. Paid sex is different to normal sex, but then i'm genuinely interested if they mind or not.
