@d.anders I agree 100 % that nobody should loose their life savings caring for their family members. It is morally and ethically wrong. Every citizen in the richest country in the world, deserves quality lifetime healthcare that everyone can afford. Canada and the UK provide universal healthcare for all of their citizens. For that question: Like, duh! Yes.
The events seem like the result of a communication problem. As much as some providers want to milk a trip as much as possible, they might not have known exactly what to pack or wear. I wonder, with all the preparation and logistics that such event takes, why weren't attire and expectations about expenses during the trip discussed prior to leaving? That doesn't look like an unreasonable conversation to have in preparation.
Traveling to the UAE does require a little bit of additional information, just like traveling to certain other destinations. Also, in my experience, when certain level of elegance and attire is required/expected, it has become a need to explain to people what they should wear, and even with that, some don't get it.
I am in no position to finance such a trip, nor am I single/free enough to do so, which means that this is just speculation on my part. I'd include attire, expenses, gifts and/or other extras in the discussion before the trip, so there is an understanding of expectations. They are in the business of pleasure, so I imagine that they will do just like travel companies do, continue charging for everything that happens along the tour. That should not be a surprise (IMO).
I hope everything else in the trip went well (meaning, they didn't embarrass or dissed you).
 

You don’t state how experienced these two providers were with international travel. Reading the ads on Rentmen, some providers make it clear they have travelled the world. You could expect these gentleman to know how to dress for Paris in the winter and the Middle East such as the Gulf States. 
With travelling, wardrobe is an essential consideration but for people with little experience it can be a challenge.

The only thing I have requested is to not arrive with too much of a beard as I like to kiss. But that is only if I see in a provider's photos instances of him sporting both a clean shaven and bearded look. I also preface my request by stating if it's not an inconvenience as it's not a deal breaker.

I wouldn’t even consider it.  If a regular provider grew a beard or shaved one off, I might comment on which looked better, but I would never suggest they shave their chest, get a nose job, or consider investing in a toupee.  Likewise I wouldn’t appreciate a provider who told me I should do any of those things unless we had transitioned from a business relationship to a close friend relationship.

I've definitely considered costume requests, but never pulled the trigger on asking yet.
Things like changing facial/body hair or covering tattoos or anything like that are things i generally wouldn't consider asking a provider to do. I just don't have enough interest or specific desires for that and because since it's something that would also affect other clients decision making in hiring them, i would think it's something they'd likely not agree to without charging a ton extra for it unless it's a change they were already going to do anyway. Body hair in particular, clients can be super particular about and the provider can't switch styles/regrow the hair fast enough to appease everyone. So it just seems easier for the client to hire another provider with their preferred look to me (but also is easy for me to say in a big city with a ton of providers).

At the risk of displaying sour grapes, I'm just as glad that I'm not attracted to him.

Thanks. I suppose Nashville’s crop of providers is what it is. No magic to find under a different website heading. This is not a negative comment on Nashville providers other than that I am too particular in what I hope to find.

Update on the situation is that he just ghosted. He ignored my follow up text, but he did reply on RentMen when I sent a message, so he is just choosing not to reply to my text messages.

I don't recall a situation like this happening in the past. Good communication and a good, positive vibe in text, but then he just skips our appointment and ghosts. I suppose the generous interpretation is that he felt embarrassed about skipping our meet. I don't know. 

Today I was in my office and that 2:00 PM lull started.  I was in between meetings, went to get a cup of coffee then returned to my desk, grabbed my phone and opened up Sniffies.  I logged in and once it populated where I'm at...one of the staff members that sits in a cubicle 2 rows in front of my office comes up.  My profile does not have my face showing...I have "other" pics and then share my face with those I'm interested in.  He was sharing his face and much more in his profile along with some of his likes and that he's "hosting in his car" 
He's not someone I would go for....he's a twink and that's not my speed.  I stayed on there, looking around and then he messages me! 😳
He says...it's appears your nearby....well yeah, it was showing less then 200 feet...but oddly enough it didn't put me right next to him, I was elsewhere.  He gave me some compliments on my pic and then asked if I was "looking" 
Yes, I turned him down (and never showed him my face or revealed who I am)....but I kept thinking about....that's pretty ballzy...I gotta give him credit for that.
