I always go past the 10 minute mark at Wet Dreams and 69. There will be a knock on the door. We always stay over. Nothing else happens after that. I don't know if the doorman charges the dancer for a second round or he's more-or-less just acting like a timer for the dancer, but I've never been asked for more money. Maybe because it's busy? I don't know. I'm unfamiliar with this buyout concept. Can you elaborate?

In PVR? That's borderline criminal.
-
I didn't say or imply that. You're accusing people of exploitation for paying a reasonable rate. Just because you are overpaying a ridiculous amount for services doesn't make everyone else criminals. If you want to flex, don't do it by accusing others of abuse.

Unless you're a local and a regular, my experience has been that the bartenders genuinely don't want you there. I've never felt so unwelcome giving a bar my business.

To keep things in context, the average doctor in Germany makes 50€ an hour, so maybe let's tone down the sanctimony. If you won't pay less than 200€, it's you that's being extorted, my friend.

My experience with Tabasco and Pinnochio has been only seeing rough straight Turkish escorts that will rob you unless you're extremely careful. Has the situation improved?

I see what you did there

This makes me so sad

Yeah that's bs lol. 69 definitely allows women, but they're usually well behaved and they don't come in groups. They're never more than 5% of the customers

Sounds like Tropicus could be an option. Front desk really doesn't care. Late hours will have the doors locked and you need to show your key or declare your room number, and that's about it. No one is registering ID's or anything. It's literally in the middle of all the action. I'd say it is comparable to Mercurio in terms of quality. It's not a roach motel by any means. Personally I've mostly gone for nicer places that may be a little further away and will register guests, so this is the only place I know of that fits your bill

Zurich - Paragonya sauna and nearby hotel Scheuble
CHIberia replied to coriolis888's topic in Europe
Holy shit it's not just me! I've stayed there several times, and all-but one desk clerk seemed to go out of their way to be jackasses. And yes, I had the same check-in issues, despite paying for the premium suite that was unoccupied. When my room was unbearably hot, and the rest of the hotel was perfectly cool, I was told to open a window, even after explaining that I bought $200 in chocolate that was melting. The breakfast buffet attendant, who is always amazing, overheard the conversation and offered to store it for me. She said it's something they are supposed to offer, along with fans for the rooms. Sidenote: Are you talking about Predigerhof Bistro Bar? That's the bar that is halfway between Paragonya and Scheuble, and I think used to be a hustler bar. In my experience, it's still very much a hustler bar. -
How nice of a hotel are you looking at? You can get an apartment at Tropicus for ~$50 a night and it is literally a few steps from the strip clubs. It is literally in the center of Zona Romantica, so bring earplugs. It's great if all you're using it for is access to the strip clubs or for bringing a masseuse back to your place. But it is very much a two-star hotel and it shows. It's very safe though.
-
Is it just me, or does the math not math? 6 songs for roughly 18 minutes is less than the 15 minute room.
-
True, but the dancers definitely expect a "tip." And it can vary wildly depending on the dancer and the services performed. Still the cheapest LITERAL bang for your buck in North America.

There is this one really good looking guy that's been there for years that I believe had a massive silicone implantation into his dick. I assumed it was a dildo too, until he showed me. It was really gross. I wish it was a dildo

In Florida, a woman sued for discrimination for being denied entry into a straight strip club. Hopefully Johnson's doesn't get hit with the same problem in the future. There are workarounds for the clubs: If they want an all-men environment, they can go the route of the old Unicorn Club in Indianapolis and become a membership-only establishment. You pay for the membership on the spot (essentially a cover), they give you a card and you write down your info. It's all a silly formality, but it worked. I'd imagine with digital memberships, it could be even easier and more profitable now. If you don't want to remove an income source and want to include some women, you can legally do Happy Hours and Men's Night's in many states, like Illinois, where men don't have to pay a cover charge. They would have to charge full cover at least one day a week, and it's probably best to do it on a slow weeknight. They can also do what the old Remington's in Toronto did, and make your upper level men-only.

The owners that were actually bankrolling the endeavor have deep pockets. They're still buying Berlin. Johnson's and Matt were more the operators and the brand, from what I've heard. It wasn't a money issue. Article seems to suggest talks broke down after the negative press, which is a shame
-
From what I'm hearing the plans were in the preliminary stages, and initial discussions were still being made. No concrete plans were set. But Matt was not the person that ever said they were taking over the Berlin location. If you scroll through this thread, it was always speculation. The only thing Matt did was confirm he was planning on opening in Chicago and was looking for talent. He may have put the cart before the horse by saying he was opening this month, but there was never confirmation of venue or neighborhood. He was in talks with the couple that are planning on buying the venue, per the article. With that said, these activists are very witch-hunty. I suspect they never even bothered to talk to him about their reservations. They made quite a few libelous/slanderous claims about him, and decided to essentially cancel him because he "may be this or that." This all seems very personal, and I suspect there is more to the story. Regardless of the behind-the-scenes stage and plans for the venue, the fact that these guys were able to shut down any prospects so easily is troubling
-
Jesus, the Chicago gays are annoying. But it's all noise. They've tried to cancel other bars the past few years and they're all still standing. But ironically the guy that started the petition has an onlyfans and he ONLY fucks cis male muscle guys

We chatted a few months ago, he reached out when I added him to my favorites, but I wasn't planning a trip to NY for a few months. I still have his number, but I'm worried about texting because his account is down. Tried to see if he just rebranded but I didn't find anything on a quick search.

Thanks for the help. I actually usually stay there (along with Sorell). It's literally around the corner from the sauna. Not the best breakfast, and they do a pretty bad job of air conditioning (all the souvenir chocolate I bought melted!). But I like the location, and not just for the sauna. Those might be last-minute prices, but pricing is different if you're planning ahead. The suite prices are a lot more, and I can't do those tiny standard rooms at starting prices. Booking a month out is over $500 a night right now. For me, it's not about affordability. I can afford the room at $500 rates. It's about the principle. The idea that I can pay half as much for a suite in Barcelona with a comparable sauna makes my decision a lot easier. Instead of going 2-3 times a year, I'm probably going to visit once this year.

Oh it's definitely not the same venue, just the same owner. They also own the old Circuit. That front lounge at Circuit could be a possibility, or they could lease out a different venue altogether. Bobby Love's isn't going anywhere
-
I was there last August. Visited twice. Was not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. There was a noticeable dropoff, but instead of finding 5-6 guys I was interested in, it was more like 3-4. So there's definitely still fun to be had, and it's super clean. My only issue lately has been finding a hotel for a relatively reasonable price. I can't justify $500 USD a night for a suite that went for $300 pre-pandemic.
-
I heard he's working with the owner Bobby Love's. I'm pretty sure this is accurate. He's also just moving to Chicago as we speak.

iirc a friend mentioned traveling to Cuba and using Canadian prepaid debit cards and things went pretty smoothly
