It's less a sense of humor than 'there's no such thing as a free lunch.' Most medicines, even the most innocuous, have side effects for some amount of the population. It's more a matter of how much are you willing to endure to get the results you desire.

Shows like these- especially comedies- are so subjective. Everyone has a wildly different sense of humor. For me, dry/satiric/witty/biting comedy is what I go for. I'd have put in shows like The Comeback, Absolutely Fabulous, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Black Books, The Other Two, Hacks, Episodes, etc. That said, it's good fodder for conversations like these to see where everyone stands.
