  1. Have you traveled to one of these 'dangerous' places? Can you share your own experiences?
  2. Get me a shovel. This thread is brimming with a wee-bit o' bullshit.
  3. ... And? To travel the world means accepting other cultural differences, even if that means they don't immediately understand you. You can rally against what's not exactly like you or you can be an intrepid traveler. Rarely can you have both. Hate is a strong word. I wouldn't say some of these places mentioned all hate gays.
  4. Agreed. LOS is one of the best Thai eateries in the States. If you can't get in there, go Downtown to Le Thai. Solid food. Great spice. Next door to one of my favorite places to get tipsy and sing: Don't Tell Mama.
  5. Please tell me you're Alan Funt in disguise
  6. Really brilliant article in a recent TO/NY https://www.timeout.com/newyork/theater/a-guide-to-theater-etiquette
  7. Good observation on Cox. While she was pretty great when she took over in Disney's AIDA, her turn as Lucy in the revival of J&H was painful. Listening to her scoop her way up to those notes, alongside her screaming co-star, felt like some kind of gay musical water-torture. I've never heard anyone sing those songs as well as Eder. Granted, they were written for her voice, but to this day, she can still sing them as effortlessly and with as much power as she did 20+ years ago.
  8. Good cast. Decent music. Great choreography. It was a show that just got lost that season.
  9. Your doc's job is to keep you safe... Let them do their job. Better overkill than the alternative
  10. Know your status. Nowadays, there's no excuse not to protect yourself and others.
  11. I listened to her do it live for the first time in front of an audience at 54 Below a few weeks ago: The key changes and the arrangement really suit her voice. As for her acting, that's another story. I love Linda, but she's never been known as a strong actress. Listening to her do lines in Jekyll & Hyde was comical. It's also why she starts every show by saying 'Hi, I'm Linda Eder and I'm a singer.' True story.
  12. Being intolerant of women is just as bad as being anti-gay. They're just feeding their child. To compare breastfeeding to taking a shit or urinating speaks volumes about someone. Just quit while you're ahead: Not every thought you think deserves its own thread.
  13. Agree about the soundtrack. I never knew about Shane Mack before, but now listen to his stuff quite a bit.
  14. An even more modern take on Beautiful Thing is 2007's Shelter. Not as well-scripted, but a decent movie. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0942384/
  15. Just wrote about something that involved armpit play. HUGE turn on for me (and a lot of other guys): http://15minutesmore.com/blog/
  16. More reason why baths still need to exist and provide the space they provide Grindr facilitates a lot of bullshit. Baths and these kinds of groups cut through that. I'm a big fan.
  17. All intellect was lost once Spielberg stopped directing these films and this new one is no different. 2+ hours of loud sounds and inane dialogue. And less than five minutes of Jeff Goldblum. I want my money back.
  18. LIES. Rumor has it that you have a portrait in some random attic that is aged and withered looking. I also believe that semen can have anti-aging properties, but we'll just leave that one right here for discussion
  19. I love watching Casino or Goodfellas on AMC. It's nearly a sport watching them overdub Joe Pesci.
  20. You're equating an overnight to cheap(est) sex. Perhaps this fella is looking for a little more.
  21. Agree and agree. I think they're all sexy as hell. Equal-opportunity is the key to life (and sex)
  22. There is really no such thing as an 'average' in this industry. Just find someone you might enjoy and communicate
  23. Yep. The literal translation is whore. In slang terms, people do use it as another, not friendly way, to call someone gay. It's the even less tactful version of maricon.
  24. Muscular legs and an actual nice ass never go out of style. If ya got it, flaunt it baby... Flaunt it. The real issue with skinny jeans is having enough lycra or stretch content in the mix to make them comfortable: I recommend looking for a 1-3%. Those of us who do squats appreciate jeans that flex and move with us. OTOH, if the jeans are too-tight, literally sprayed on looking, it can make a guy look a little silly. Like overstuffed sausage. As with everything in life, there's a line in the sand
  25. Thanks for sharing that story I'd have loved to go to the Pop Shop in its prime. To think Haring's stuff was once sold for under $1k. Same goes for Basquiat. I have a friend who has one of his custom-done bassinets and a smaller sarcophagus. I drool a little when I see them.
