Flakes suck. All of them. Clients who flake? Suck. Providers who flake? Also suck. Snowflakes? Beautiful, but still technically flakes. Let’s be clear: contrary to what seems to be the majority view, both clients and providers take losses when someone flakes, and neither side gets to declare their loss is greater by default. Loss is personal—it’s measured by the person who feels it. Time, money, energy, libido… all valuable currencies in this hobby. I’ve never ghosted. Ever. But yes, I have cancelled—because after a provider moved the time three times over three hours, I realized I had aged a full decade waiting and still didn’t have a door number. At that point, what were we doing? We both lost—me an encounter, him a donation, and both of us a shot at something fun. Equal-opportunity disappointment. Look, many great points have been made about how ghosting hurts providers—especially those who’ve prepped, traveled, or blocked out time. I totally agree. But the idea that providers are somehow immune to causing damage? Nope. When they fail to communicate, constantly reschedule, or underdeliver, they lose something too: goodwill. And in this world, goodwill is the glue that holds things together. (Well, goodwill… and lube.) This hobby is a risk, plain and simple. No one walks into it bubble-wrapped and insured. Both parties can and do get burned. That’s exactly why flaking—on either side—needs to be treated like the venereal disease of behavior: preventable, irritating, and contagious if not handled. If something comes up for a client (and I do mean comes up 👀), then at the very least, send the provider their fee. Don’t be that person. Be the kind of person you’d want to book. Conversely… what should a provider do when they waste the client’s time? That’s the part where things get hazy—and honestly, it’s infuriating. It feels like when providers flake, the response is “Oh well, he’s probably tired.” When a client flakes? Out come the pitchforks. And finally, as a Public Service Announcement to all the non-newbies who are warming up their fingers to pile on me for saying any of this: Please know, I absolutely enjoy being at the bottom of a pile of moaning men. (Just make sure you’re on time.) Cheers and lube to all. 🥂

Other Hobbies - Outside of Gym or Working OutPoundMeOnaPlane replied to adunn1992's topic in The Lounge I read this a couple of years ago and wonder if anyone has discovered something in a similar genre and writing style.

*Bump* I’m jetting off to Seattle this month and I’m on the hunt for some fresh recommendations for providers who’ve been making waves with their services. I’m a fan of all the guys, but this time, I’m craving a daddy vibe. Help me out here!

Your hopes just took a nosedive, and I’m here to share in your sigh. An electrifying moment ruined by a tirade over… a missed call. Fear not! Plenty of other providers are ready to whisk you away to your dreamland without the drama. @dcman nailed it. If the adventure kicks off like this, the end of the adventure will probably join the party.

*Hiring your neighbor ? *sigh*PoundMeOnaPlane replied to Ali Gator's topic in Questions About Hiring @Ali Gator, I might not be privy to all the juicy details of your situation, but I’ve been there too! Picture this: neighbors with perks! Here’s what I took away from my own rollercoaster ride: (1) He might be a looker, but we weren’t meant to be a provider/client duo, (2) echoing @ApexNomad and @pubic_assistance—don’t mess with your own backyard, and (3) no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t undo the “deeds”. My experience was a bit of a whirlwind, but when it hit the fan, it was a full-blown neighborhood drama. I ended up transferring for work, leaving everything behind. But hey, do you have that emergency escape plan of moving? Anyway, this is one spicy dilemma and am looking forward to learning about whatever happens!

When providers contact clientsPoundMeOnaPlane replied to Austin Lewis's topic in Questions About Hiring I’m sure some of the providers can really add a sprinkle of fun to our responses! When I receive an unsolicited contact, it feels like a lovely compliment, and I think it makes rebooking a breeze, making our time together even more delightful. I see it as nothing more than that.

Why do you pay for sex?PoundMeOnaPlane replied to KevinKeepsItReal's topic in Questions About Hiring For me, a provider is like having a GPS for dating—always reliable and almost never lost in the woods of awkwardness. Going on a date without a provider is like trying to assemble IKEA furniture without instructions—fun and exciting at first, but soon you’re questioning your life choices and wondering if you’ll ever escape the maze of flatpack chaos. Many people have forgotten how to converse, turning a nice dinner into a therapy session where I’m the therapist, the waiter, and the bill payer. And let’s not forget the manners—or lack thereof—that can turn a rock-hard erection into a limp noodle faster than you can say “table manners.” A provider, on the other hand, is that steady guide, keeping everyone entertained and comfortable. They know exactly what I expect, which is usually a good time and maybe a little dinner—though I often find myself making a meal out of the provider instead. That’s why.

Smacking gum. It is possible that he is attempting to combat halitosis (and I appreciate his efforts), but I am not inclined to listen to it.

So, I scheduled an hour with Crushdaddy, and guess what? He matched his profile and turned out to be a really great guy! We had a bit of a different time than we planned. He told me he had just finished filming and couldn’t quite do things as planned. He showed up on time and didn’t try to hide that there might be a problem with providing what I was expecting. He immediately suggested we reschedule, and I couldn’t do that. He said he’d go and hope we’d be okay. But I was still interested in exploring his tattoos 😉, so we agreed for him to stay. We ended up talking for over three hours! He shared his interests and what he enjoys doing with his clients. He even got lost in our conversation! If I ever end up in the same area again, I’d definitely hire him. The thing that really stood out about him was that he kept our appointment. He was upfront and clear that things weren’t going to go as planned, and he offered to reschedule without even asking for more. He also gave so much of his time to us. I hope you get to meet him and it goes well! Please share how it goes!

Thanks! I should’ve mentioned that he did have (now expired) RM AD under Irridium. https://rent.men/Irridium … When we (Irridium and I) were chatting, he (Irridium) seemed to be talking about other things beyond massage.
-
https://rentmasseur.com/Iridium I stumbled upon some reviews of him from 2019. I’m wondering if anyone has had the chance to meet him in person recently. If so, I’d love to hear all about it!
