  1. I had a heart attack yearrs ago, and even the doctor initially thought it was acid reflux. I would have drank before seeing a doctor at 9 in the morning - not possible
  2. I visited Italy in 2010, but did it from Prague. So glad I saw Prague if only for six days. But now I also think about the German airports where I changed planes often.
  3. I am lost as to why an occasional xanax is harmful. It is not easy to separate acid reflex from a heart attack.
  4. New York Time: It seems unlikely the shoes would be going back to Mr.Shaw, the owner. The company that insured them paid him $800,000 for the loss, and is now the legal owner. Mr.Show in 2015 interview: "There's more to my life than a pair of pumps." Right: $800,000.
  5. Agree. Garland had a variety show in prime time, Sunday nights on CBS. Lasted one season, and was pretty good.
  6. I suggest you concentrate just on school, and worry about debt later. Doing well in school wll give you more confidence. My choice of school and work lasted two years before leaving the job. Wonderful to completely devout to one thing: school. I enjoyed reading your message.
  7. Agree. But, it is wonderful film.
  8. Agree one hundred percent.
  9. Wouldn't the the $90 be worth it if just went to store or two, and have the driver purchase items for you? It may not be a huge "step" but it could encourage you to try again.
  10. @Avalon, The $90 may help you feel better overall. You would be outdoors for the first in long while.
  11. Do you live in rural area? I ask because I did as a child. Even small cities had may more resources to help people in need.
  12. Too bad Judy Garland's kids never received any money for the shoes, or Garland herself.
  13. Wouldn't be better to wait a bit longer before on so strongly. You just started here a month ago. And yes, I am aware that it is a mistake to be critical of you
  14. @purplekow has been posting here for a long time, and seldom comments negatively without a good reason.
  15. I remember Truman well because he lived until December, 1972. But, I was too young to remember anything about Franklin Roosevelt, one of country's greatest presidents.
  16. I remembered where you live when you rightly complained about leaf blowers early in the morning last spring, or were you visiting New England? I grew up in Massachusetts.
  17. Excellent question. How do airlines accomadate passengers in wheelchairs on long flights?
  18. Off-TOPIC When Judy Garland knew her prime time weekly TV show (1963-1964) would not be picked up by CBS, she performed hour-long concerts. Quite good, and available on DVD.
  19. My best plane flights are during afternoon to evening, and, if possible no clouds. Example: Brasila to Miami and back. Economy class is fine, when I can see the Amazon River.
  20. "Wildcat" did not last long, but the original cast recording with Lucy and Keith is memorable.
  21. Keith Andes was the male lead in the Broadway musical, "Wildcat." It was Lucille Ball's only Broadway show. Opened in 1960. Audiences expected the TV Lucy; Ball tried, but she was used to having Desi Arnaz on her side.
  22. Don't attempt a Broadway, or off- Broadway, show. Two tickets would cost more than $250.
  23. Yes, so true. Even if people change there is still the same connects, especially kindness and a sense of himor and a history of friendship.
  24. @Avalon has physical limitations due to knee problems, so it is not a surprise he does not know everything.
  25. Recently, a local student radio show requested good songs by bad singers. I called in for Dylan's Christtmas song, "Little Drumer Boy." They played the song. I knew one of guys. He said, "We almost bailed after the first tbirty seconds."
