  1. A+ thanks
  2. When I was overseas in the military decades ago a minor Hollywood actress contacted me. She was preparing for a film with Elizabeth Taylor and Warren Beatty. No scam, except when I went to the address she gave me in Studio City or perhaps Hollywood. the apartment was for rent.
  3. I enjoy the parterre seats high enough to hear the music better. But not too far to see the stage.
  4. Have you hired someone whom you are really "into" - a different start to the escort experience? Even if it isn't your greatest sex ever, it may become that with time and the same guy.
  5. Russell Tovey has been cast in the upcoming Broadway revival of Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe. In the small cast in a strong heterosexual play also: Rupert Everett.
  6. No they are not a couple: Rupert Everett & Russell Tovey
  7. I have been hiring for a long time. You chose to travel frequently, rather than mostly work in one city and travel once in a while. Perhaps you could live in one city not as expensive as Washington. Isn't part of your frustration depending on clients not cancelling to do well financially i(or not lose money) in each city. Anyone could become frustrated in those circumstances, and complain here. Not your fault.
  8. I agree clients are safer with someone with credentials and good reviews. But good reviews could change over time. If this is yet another way to justify deposits before meeting, please stop.
  9. I had a very different experience the one time I hired a then well known porn star through a national escort agency. The porn star was Billy Brandt. The agency gave me Brandt's phone number. And we talked for about a hour on the phone before we met the next day. The difference could be the agency was in Denver. But Billy Brandt lived just a short drive away from me here in Philadelphia. I am very glad we were able to talk that long; it meant we already knew each other.
  10. No The few people who request a deposit may write very long responses here, but it does not make sense to some people who have to pay the deposit.
  11. I have never been asked for a deposit. And I would not respond kindly to that kind of request.
  12. That happened with my mother who lived to age 91. My brother and I never complained because she was able to afford a private room in a nursing home until her money ran out.
  13. I moved to a large apartment building over a year ago in Philadelphia. There is always someone at the front desk. Despite that level of security, someone tried to break into my apartment a few months ago at three o'clock in the morning. To the extent folks are concerned here, it seems it is mostly about being identified. I do not have that concern, but I greatly respect people who do and are posting about it.
  14. I have stayed in very, very cheap hotels in San Francisco and New York City and never remember homeless or thuggish people let in.
  15. Hotels also should be concerned with the security of their guests.
  16. Thanks!!
  17. @Epigonos
  18. I feel the same way about Novak Djokovic. Not sure why because I have only seen him play once in person. Novak often finds a way to win despite unfriendly crowd, and especially against Nadal and Federer.
  19. My first job was difficult to explain to friends. So I received similar comments. You can't just say I appreciate your comments....."
  20. Wonderful photos. I am Facebook friends with two Euoropean soccer players from Croatia and Slovenia. I met them several months ago in a Philadelphia Starbucks while I was reading a new book about the war in Bosnia. The next day, the player from Croatia asked me about the book again for his dad, who was a general in the Croatian army.
  21. I have never seen a live performance of "Tristan and Isolde." Those concerns are not that important to me. Better one act than nothing.
  22. I remember seeing Jack Benny and later Ella Fitzgerald at a hotel in Vienna, Virginia in 1974. They must have been performing at nearby Wolf Trap, I did not attempt to talk to Mr. Benny because he looked like a very tired businessman. Regret it now. Ms. Fitzgerald was friendly.
  23. Jonas has sung Acts 1 & 2 with the Boston Symphony Orchestra in Boston and Carnegie Hall in separate concerts. After missing the other concerts, I am very pleased to see Act 3 at Carnegie Hall in 2020. However, I am not a totally sold K fan yet.
  24. @Mocha, perhaps a rat race to you, yet some people enjoy their nine to five jobs and take pride in their work.
  25. Sean has not had an easy life I am glad he is doing so well.
