  1. Of course, I fully agree with you. I was mocking others' simple generalizations.
  2. LOL. A little biased statement. From "my observation" to "the consensus" there is a huge jump. "Most gay men"? I guess you have stats. But it is true, this topic has been discussed up to exhaustion. To my observation, the consensus is that most gay men who are against dropping condoms when on PrEP are suffering from post traumatic disorder after the HIV pandemic back in the 80s.
  3. Vero, ma i pettegolezzi trapelano sempre. I read in the Argentinean newspapers that Prevost was very popular since the first round of votes, and won the last one with 89. The gossip speaks of a very smooth process.
  4. 2012 is a long time. People (d)evolve. Even priests. It is too soon to tell, but I think it is good news. We should not expect the CC to become pro gay and pro women, but it looks like this guy may be more moderate than Francis, but singing the same tune. We may see the continuation of the tendency towards a more open and inclusive church. Plus, I am not a one issue guy. His history and his first words seem to be aligned with a socially committed church. I think I was right. Francis was politically skilled enough to build support to his policies within the cardinals.
  5. Recommended reading for the friends who think that human behavior is determined by "Nature".
  6. I am not 100% sure, but I think Re will be in the Conclave despite his age.
  7. If you are interested in the topic of uncertainty vs faith, and the ethical dilemmas raised by the lack of faith in a priest, you may enjoy reading one of my favorite short novels, by Miguel de Unamuno, "San Manuel Bueno, Mártir". I read it in the original Spanish and cannot recommend a good translation, but I would assume there should be good ones as this is a major classic on Spanish Literature. Reading this book was one of the experiences that helped me to be more tolerant and understanding of the religious experience.
  8. When I said "supportive of his policies" I did not mean to"as progressive as he was". I bet you some are less and some more progressive than he was. Bottom line, you are right on one thing. Time will tell.
  9. Are we on synch? I finished 30 minutes ago. I liked it a lot. I've been criticizing the dark side of the Catholic Church and of religion for decades now. This movie hit me like a reminder of the other side. There are many men and women who live the religious experience with depth and sincerity. Now that I am growing older I am starting to be more appreciative of them.
  10. I think this is the right thread for this, also taken from LPSG.
  11. Bergoglio was born in Buenos Aires. Anyway, place of birth is meaningless, what matters is life experience. I addressed that in a post that was deleted and I am not in the mood for self censoring a rewrite.
  12. Of course, right now everything is just speculation, but history proves you are right. However, one of Bergoglio's strong points was his political wisdom. Without outstanding political skills, he would have failed on confronting Vatican corrupted traditional elite. Part of his wisdom is leaving a Collegium Cardinalium with 70% of Cardinals supportive of his policies. There is a very strong chance the next pope will be less progressive than Bergoglio, but there is also a very strong chance he will not undo his reforms.
  13. We are transitioning.
  14. According to a poster in LPSG, this is a cardboard image in yesterday's anti-Trump protest in NYC.
  15. I want to believe you, but quite often you make it hard to believe. Sure. Everyone finds facts to support their stand. I thought you knew that how we interpret those facts is equally important. I am not emotional, I thought I was stating a fact without drama. I think you are too concerned about explaing that you are not a racist. My apologies for triggering you. I was just pointing to what I think was a racist statement. Do you think you do not have racist prejudices? Oh. I do, and that awareness empowers me to fight my prejudices and become more tolerant. I do think that no one would bring "some people" to a conversation without somehow endorsing their views. But I praise you for being so understanding of their intolerance. Uffff, too many assumptions that have nothing to do with my point, and a not very creative way to justify a closed, racist, culture.
  16. Take a look at the LPSG thread. Rather than volunteers to execute him, it is plenty of volunteers to be murdered by being dicked down. There are even offers to smell his farts. But the suicides have a good point. If someone wants to fuck him to death, how do they know that they will be actually the ones passing away thanks to Lulu's superpowers? 17. IDK whether or not you are racist, but this statement is racist in so many levels. I have to leave it there, as we cannot discuss these topics.
  18. LPSG infamous thread never dies. ARTIST: Alex
  19. why are you wasting our time with this thread?
  20. First visit to Lagõa. I am not impressed and I did not hire anyone. There were several IG types who usually do not pick my attention. Only one of them was in my radar but I was not very horny and I did not hire him. I prefer the favela type guys, there were a few of them but did not captivated me. However, I am glad. I have been working on my Portuguese and was able to bond with a client. Additionally, one of the bar tenders was a Venezuelan guy. I tipped him 20 rials and my third drink (35 rials) was for free. I was surprised when I paid my bill. I will keep trying the place (it is a 5 mins walk from my airbnb), but so far I prefer Rio's saunas. The client I talked to told me that he had never been to Python but some of his friends recommend the place, so I may try it although I am lazy and the 5 mins walk to Lagõa is quite irresistible.
  21. I landed here yesterday. My original plan was to bring my favorite boy from Rio, who was arriving today. However, once inside my airbnb, I felt it was too small for me to enjoy company for two weeks. We made a few adjustments to our arrangement. As I am teleworking this coming week, he will join me on Friday and stay with me for 7 to 10 days. Today I was planning a walk along Avenida Paulista. I should have checked the news. I walked into a pro-Bolsonaro demonstration. As I am not fond of right wingers and their secondary effects, I made my stroll shorter. Now I am debating with myself what to do later today. I could have my first Lagõa experience, or I could try Grindr and Scruff. Both apps have my phone smoking, but I think I am going to the sauna. It is a regular video-karaoke night, significantly more expensive than other days, 90 rials. That makes me think that I am not going to find the same environment than in regular nights, and makes me curious. If I am wrong and it is just another night, only over priced, soon I will learn it from my coming experiences or from the more experienced posters here.
  22. I wish I knew. His last name seems to be Mann, perhaps you can start your research from there. I picked that image from the infamous LPSG thread, if you look for it perhaps you will have more info. I do not remember whether or not his first name was mentioned by the original poster;
  23. I have the same fantasy, and we could tell it is not a fantasy, as the pictures document that body. But my fantasies about Lulu are not affected by others' imagination. My intention in this thread is to bring the products of others' fantasies, even if they do not match mine
  24. Sorry! I did not know your fantasies were so fragile!
  25. Tons of them
