100% agreed. But I do not think @Tygerscent is advocating for looking for an explanation or a cause for homosexuality. If I understand what he is saying, he is speaking of how the interactions between our individual biological traits and our particular social context will built how our sexuality is expressed. Rather than an hermeneutic, he is looking for a phenomenology. Of course, I may be wrong.

I agree in general, but the issue is not only gay men. I think everyone who does not see that we are a social construction built on our biology, is in denial. What is sad in the case of gay people when they do not realize it is that they mirror oppressive structures instead of enjoying a journey of self discovery and self construction.

The landscape of escorting is much larger than the little picture you are looking at. In this forums the prices discussed are mostly Rentmen standard, not the highest end, but quite high. This forum is not representative of the whole world of escorting, and those posters who are actually "over-informed" know that. If you like driving, and join a club where everyone drives Ferraris, and you cannot afford it, you do not start bitching about it. Instead, you get a Honda Civic, which is an excellent car.

Your data is not relevant. In most of the professions in that list there is a huge range in income. There are many professionals earning significantly less or significantly more, as the base pays in the list are averages. You cannot compare that against an escort asking for 400. It is not an average fee. If anyone here knows what the sex worker average earning is, I want to know them because they have access to sources no one knows. If an orthodontist asks you for 300 per hour, you just move on to another more affordable professional. Prices not always have to do with quality, and there are excellent orthodontist in all price ranges, as well as quite bad ones. Professional sex workers are not different. Just treat your relationship with sex workers the same way you treat any other service. Find the good ones that you can afford, or find comfortable investing in.

I find hilarious all the whiners complaining about others pretending to be "moral authorities", while they feel entitle to have authority to tell sex workers how much they should charge, or how they should run their business.

Allow me to try it with more realistic parameters. The inflation argument, I think, is BS. However, I do think that escorts have the right to charge whatever they want, for any reasons they have. If a client does not like it or cannot afford it, move on or work on improving your income.
