Don't beat yourself up over this. When all is said and done, you are not responsible for their lives. The situation was a crap shoot. Like others, I would have asked him what he needed, given him some money, offered him a hot meal, but beyond that I too would have left him as I found him. Yes there are some good kids out there, that are just a little lost, tossed out of the family home and down on their luck, hoping for a better life, but many do have drug problems and mental health issues that make them dangerous. Your safety and well being should always be considered first.

Another prejudice remark, but maybe that should be expected.

I'm not having any problems at all, but I do shut my computer off almost every time I walk away. Start up is still very fast, so it's not a problem. Leaving the PC unattended when not being used tends to slow everything down. Keep us posted. I'm curious if it's a new problem with FF.

Thanks for pointing out his post in the Palm Springs thread. I just dug it up, and it is disheartening if true. His short tenure here was delightful and filled with a wicked sense of humor. I wish him well, wherever he is tonight, and pray that perhaps he is able to return.
