About nudity in the movie, I was wondering if European actors were cast in the leads, would there have been full frontals? or its likelihood? I just watched God's Own Country on DVD and both lead actors just let it all hang out to nice effect. And then there were Kenneth Branagh and Matthias Schoenerts (one sexy guy!) flopping about in Luca's own A Bigger Splash. And I think I can identify Ewan McGregor's penis in a lineup by this time. Love the movie as it is, but would Luca G. have infused a bit more raunch and rawness in the movie with European actors consenting to full frontal instead of the relatively timid Americans?

I borrowed Fifty Shades of Grey from a local public library and finished reading it in 4 or 5 sessions in my bathroom. I don't think I would have finished that crap in any other room in my house.

I think Oliver was aware of the "perviness" when he told Elio "I don't want you to regret anything or MESS YOU UP in any way." But being the older (and wiser) party, he was also aware that this experience would only help Elio grow up to be a well adjusted emotionally healthy human being. My 2 cents

Saw this for the 6th time, I think. Can I say again how refreshing to see gay characters onscreen who are not depressed, persecuted, suicidal or addicted to drugs or alcohol? Instead, they are intelligent (intellectuals even) fully fleshed out characters. In a fair world, TC should be a lock for Best Actor but his youth and Hollywood's still remaining aversion to gay characters could work against him. Really bummed AH, MS, LG and their cinematographer were snubbed. The directors of CMBYN and 3 Billboards should have been nominated. They are victims of the "diversity" thing going on in Hollywood. IMO.

I remember grinning ear to ear and feeling very happy watching this scene and it has stuck with me. It makes me smile every time I hear this music. Pandora plays it a lot so I'm smiling a lot.
