  4. I couldn’t agree more!
  5. This appears to be a newish ad, anyone heard/seen of the young man? https://rentmen.eu/cyrus_stark The link in his RM ad takes you to a page that’s sketchy.
  6. Bump, he’s visiting SoCal. Any experience with the gentleman?
  7. This was Instacart App’s recommended replacement for a soup I was looking for. Sounds *delicious*!

  9. I did not find the film particularly sad or depressing. Rather, I enjoyed the sense of the characters/actors of their freedom. Did any of them cry out for a “normal” house, picket fence, set lifestyle? I can probably somewhat relate based on a couple work leave of absences on extended sailboat cruises aboard a 36’ boat up/down the western Mexican coast. While it takes a strong sense of independence and self management, There is a laid back day-to-day lifestyle that many folks I met along the way were doing full time, similar to “Nomadland”. I was a part timer doing 4 months one year and 2 months another. It doesn’t take long to start to feel like it’s a good lifestyle.

  11. I have zero interest based on this, just not my style: “Step 2: Full psychological deep dive using the card game I designed (think Tarot meets Rorschach) to get a sense of your custom needs and intentions: Life, Security, Growth, Connection, Esteem, Self-Mastery and Transcendence.” and: “require both masks and the psychological work in order to get a massage.” No thanks....
  12. Cooking and baking, cleaning up small battery acid damage. I used to LOVE this use...for various health reasons I haven’t had to use it this way for well over ten years....the burp was SUCH a relief: The baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and stomach acid (hydrochloric acid) create a chemical reaction in your stomach. The result of this reaction is carbon dioxide gas, which causes burping. So a burp within three minutes of drinking the baking sodasolution may indicate an adequate level of stomach acid.
  13. Confident with my current look.
  14. Some info in this thread where others and myself mention the DayUse app, some other recommendations in the thread as well.
  15. This for me as well. Besides my current half-assed Spanish, I wish I could be fluent in Italian, French, Japanese. Maybe Mandarin too?
  16. Hopefully his massage skills are better than his cash handling skills if he’s leaving a stack of cash for clients to see ?
  17. Rentmasseur link above now a “404”.
  18. I would have said “buy it”. I just bight a new car, well over 50% cash/trade in down payment, the balance a loan that’s very short term, aggressive payment schedule, 18 months done. This works for me. The comments about a new car losing 15-20% of its value in the first year is far too kind. I often joke it happened when you feel the wheels of your new car leave the dealer driveway and hit the street! Just try and turn around and sell it back, lol.
  19. Ok it was an off topic food science question ? there’s an enzyme in fresh pineapple that won’t allow gelatin to set properly. The enzyme becomes inactive in the pineapple canning process.
  20. Who knows/remembers why out moms used canned pineapple vs. fresh ?

  22. My friends and I would collect and return them for “candy money”.
  23. 132 column please...
  24. @WilliamM even inheriting a family home could be a significant inheritance. Also a modest cash, retirement account balance. “Inherit” doesn’t equal DuPonts, Vanderbilts, etc. True “ inheritance baby” with complete financial independence might be rare, but significant inheritance is not. After all....why politicians always want to always tax it??
