I heard from a masseur where after he finished the massage, the client just got up, took his clothes and ran out. Full monty and everything. So I don't blame you for being skeptical of clients.
I for one appreciate confirmation texts that let me know the provider is serious.

I pay the agreed upon fee after the service has been rendered, usually. If I didn't like it, I don't tip and decide not to return. I try to get over the buyer's remorse in my own time.
I saw him once. He's a bit pricey for my tastes. However the service he did provide was a good mix of massage + deli. So in that respect, the price was reasonable. He was also personable and very accommodating. I didn't feel like he was just going through the motions.
I tried scheduling with him a second time a few months later but he canceled on me last minute. At least he gave a reason and didn't just ghost.
