  1. It was announced today that the border will be closed for another 30 days (till at least Sept 21 2020)

“We are extending the reciprocal restrictions at the Canada-US border for another 30 days, till Sept. 21, 2020. We will continue to do what’s necessary to keep our communities safe,”

  2. Isn't it just an obvious question? If you're closed down for four months with limited income, a business that is renting space is likely going to be in more trouble, than a business that owned their space. I hope you own the space or have an understanding landlord.

Why are you PM'ing me about this?

    Thank you for your concern.

  3. That does the live streaming. He takes up a lot of space. I realize this is ruining my chances for that free back stage pass ... haha

That is DJ Anthony that has worked at Stock Bar since St Andre.

We hope he's not going anywhere soon. If it wasn't for DJ Anthony the live shows that kept many people entertained during COVID would not have gone on.

Stock Bar is reopening Saturday night @8PM.

  4. I missed and I don't have an account with them. Any highlights?

    The ZOOM event is FREE.

You do not need a membership to StockBar.com to enter the event. (you will need to download ZOOM, also free)

A link to ZOOM event's will be posted on the Stock Bar website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

  5. FYI. If you ask to join their email list - don't expect a quick reply, two days and counting

Realavalon, There is not a response to joining the email list, it simply adds you to the list.

When the next email is sent you will receive one.

If you look at the join page there is a 25% off discount listed there for 3 months or you can join for 1 month @ $29.95.

  6. A practical question: is it still $20 Canadian for a dance?

    :)

PS From what I remember, Stock was a little classier with curtains, larger and better lit booths, etc. but I felt comfortable in both places.

The downside of Stock for many is the webcast, I don't like it when my picture pops up on Facebook when a friends posts it, much less to be splashed on screens worldwide to people watching strip shows.

Unless your sitting at the stage the chances your face will be on the live feed is almost zero.

There are also MANY places inside the club that you would never be able to be seen while your there. (if you need help with those locations just ask the manager)

As for Face Book, those pictures are only taken on Ladies Night. Again, unless your sitting at the stage or posing for the photographer you wouldnt be in a picture.

  7. Hey all - maybe I misheard but I thought there would be a Stock Bar calendar available again this year, but when my friends went in person, they didn't have any. Did I misunderstand an announcement?

There is a monthly event at the club where you can receive a MONTHLY calendar. It can also be downloaded as a desktop for your computer in the member section of the StockBar.com website.

The photos are hardly recycling material p gren.

  8. Well said Elwood. Those reasons are all legitimate. These could be used as answers to my question "Is it that simple?". I'm a local and I have absolutely no idea who the manager is or where I can find him.

Simply say to ANY server, or barman who is the manager or can he come to see me.

The results will solve your issue.

The dancers keep 100% of the money from private dances.

There is no advantage to the bar for dancer overcharging a customer.

  9. Is it that simple? It's my word against his, after all. When such disagreement happen, should I refuse to pay him and see the manager for settlement or should I pay him and then speak to the manager? In that case, what's the point of seeing the manager if I don't get anything back and still overpay. You might be correcting the problem for the future but not MY problem.

You also say "Miscounting songs is never allowed and it is very clear to every dancer when they are hired." OK, maybe, but are you sure you're doing a good job at it? I had come to a point where I became very distrustful. The story about Jones just confirms that the problem is still there and that's a shame.

I'm glad we're having this discussion. This is something that has been bothering me for a long time. In the last few months, I started to go to Stock more frequently as I found it more enjoyable. I hope things will keep improving in the future.

It is pretty simple, both sets of lap dance rooms have cameras located outside the door, if needed we can see the time you entered and the time you exited.

This might not be a perfect system but to allow it to just go unmentioned will never solve or address the problem.

As for Jones, the incident being talked about here was during his first or second week of working and he has not had any complaints or negative comments since.

That information is based on customers seen with Jones and being asked about there experience by the manager.

And yes, there are cases that the customer does miscount.

  10. Miscounting songs is never allowed and it is very clear to every dancer when they are hired.

Not letting us know when it happens makes it almost impossible to control. Saying I wont dance with him ever again doesn't solve the problem.

It doesn't need to become an argument with the dancer, simply ask to speak to the manager.

I assure you the problem will be corrected at once by the manager.

If your really uncomfortable with dealing with the problem you can also email Contact@stockbar.com with the information.

  11. its hard to unde

Elwood and traxton, I agree with both of you. Overcharging has been rampant at Stock. I know what I'm talking about, as I'm a Montreal resident and have gone to Stock for 25 years.

Aquario, Have you ever reported any of the incidents to the manager?

  12. Twoguys,

EZEtoGRU is correct, his name is JONES.

He has worked a very short period of time, less than 1 month and has no prior experience.

He will be reprimanded for this incident.

My only wish was that when the incident took place you would have asked to speak to the manager to inform him about the situation.

Hope you visit again soon !!

QUOTE="TwoGuyz, post: 1391457, member: 17043"]Oh and to identify him further, his first dance is always to the song "Criminal", I should of taken that as a clue.

  13. stand your ground. I had a similar experience with another dancer earlier this month. He tried to charge me for 5 songs when it had just been 3. I paid him for 3 and told him he was one of the best dances I've ever had, until he tried to hustle me. The owner was sitting next to me by the bar, told him about it, but didn't name names. The dancer later came up to apologize saying that he was tired so he counted wrong. The next night he apologized again and offered to give me a free dance, I appreciate his offer but declined.

Its such a common occurrence to be over charged for songs, that now I always start a stop watch when a lap dance starts.

    Interesting Scott,

When you reported this incident to me I offered to solve the problem for you and as you stated you declined.

How would you expect this type of problem to be solved unless you let management get involved ?

Posting here 4 weeks later wont solve the problem.

  14. Dear TwoGuy.....

Please think about the name of the dancer.

We don't have a dancer named "Joel"

I have been a reader of this forum for a few years but a recent experience has prompted me to join and share my experience
  15. Tried the following:

Uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash Player.

    Tried Google Chrome.

Still getting message "No player available."

With Firefox, I can't even get the log on window to open.

With Chrome, it does, but Stock Bar can't find a player.

No problem with other video sites.

PLEASE EMAIL CONTACT@STOCKBAR.COM, YOUR PROBLEM WILL BE RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY BY WEB SUPPORT.

I have also sent them an email to contact you.
