  1. Actually you have it backwards. The gay movement was for male gays to have a space where the they could be and express themselves. They fought the fights and gradually won their rights. Then other groups with different identities weren’t happy with their situation and rode on the coattails of the gays to be included. I remember when lesbians were hostile to gays invading their spaces. But they expected to be welcomed in gay spaces. Today there is not one lesbian bar left in Montreal. They have migrated to the gay spaces. For myself, I would rather not have to put up with them when I am trying to have an all male experience in a place like Campus.
  2. I have had it happen only twice in many decades of hiring. In each case I negotiated a reduction in fee as it was for a multi hour, in one case, overnight session. They both agreed. Never hired them again. Also didn’t leave any reviews. Just let it go.
  3. I don’t appreciate it when providers advertise safe only but show pics and videos barebacking. It’s a form of false advertising. What else are they misrepresenting?
  4. It’s interesting you just arrived in the first country outside Africa to report a new case of Mpox from someone who had recently travelled to an Africa. This is exactly what I predicted yesterday in my post on the subject, that it was only a matter of time before this arrived on our shores. Given that its estimated only 1 in 4 Canadians at risk have been vaccinated against Mpox, we are going to see an upsurge in cases very soon, probably within months.
  5. Given that the new strain is more virulent and has spread to a dozen or so African countries I would say it’s only a matter of time for it to show up on our shores. I also don’t project future trends based on past behaviour of new emerging virus. COVID showed us that.
  6. Absolutely. Montreal had its Pride this last week culminating in the parade on Sunday. A lot of my regulars flocked there. I avoided it.
  7. Your sensible comments just reinforce the need for each of us to assess our own situation and practices. One size does not fit all.
  8. I had stopped screening providers about mpox vax status but will start again. I took two doses in 2022 but am open to a booster later this year if that seems advisable.
  9. What I like about the DoxyPep regime is that it is a very effective way of avoiding contracting syphilis, which is if left undetected and untreated, much more serious in terms of health outcomes.
  10. Also I don’t understand Sir Billy Bob’s reference to few jurisdictions endorsing DoxyPeP when the CDC represents the entire USA.
  11. There is a distinction between DoxyPeP and DoxyPrep. The latter is daily use of the drug like PreP for avoiding HIV. The former about which I am talking is a morning after pill only used after an interaction either oral or anal when one feels one might have been exposed to an STI. This does not constitute daily or regular use for a client such as myself. It is different for providers who see clients on a regular basis.
  12. As of June this year the CDC has now recommended that for a certain subset of gay men who have sex with other men, DoxyPep as a post exposure form of treatment to reduce significantly the risk of transmission of syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia, especially syphilis where over 90% reduction has been observed in open label randomized trials (lesser but still significant numbers over 50% for other STIs). British Columbia in Canada has also endorsed this new form of protection against SDIs and it is available in other jurisdictions such as Ontario if a doctor prescribes it. I approached my doctor yesterday and he gave me a prescription. In the past I have had syphilis twice, once over 40 years ago in my youth and more recently from a provider who gave me a heads-up after he tested positive a month after I had seen him. I saw a provider last weekend and he was on DoxyPep and generously gave me two of his pills (200mg) which prompted me to see my doctor. This is an evolving story and more people need to get up to speed on it if they have sex with other men.
  13. I went back and looked at them all again. One thing that struck me was besides all being very good looking young men, they all could be mistaken for being American. I think that is because America is made up of people from everywhere, both old time and more recent arrivals. This mixing of blood and cultures produces some of the most magnificent humans imaginable.
  14. I would suggest that rather than becoming an expert you have become jaded.
  15. Isn’t the Oracle of Omaha still in residence?
  16. Might fit on a large bumper.
  17. Bien sur. Mais les Quebecois preferent “Je me souviens.”
  18. Vive la difference!
  19. I saw the same picture. . Definitely a foreskin showing.
  20. I had to laugh at his ad when I read his last review. A client who signed himself “Datn***a”. And he states he is seeking professional generous clients. A pictures of him lolling in BMWs and upscale surroundings. The old expression Known by the company you keep.
  21. Where was the event held in LA?
  22. Welcome to the forum. You’ve already caused a stir with your first post.
  23. The house might have gone for below market because of its sordid history. I mean talk about ghosts in the attic. 🫢
  24. What's in the tray? Maybe that's the real loot.
  25. True., except I suppose for Warren Buffett. I guess I had my Toronto blinkers on. A house like that in central Toronto would go for over $15 million. There the average single detached house that I wouldn't even want to live in goes for well north of $1 million. And I suppose the billionaires in Detroit live in Grosse Point.
