3 month update...lost about 30 lbs so far still got 60-80 to go, and my bloodwork is ALL normal to fantastic for the first time in decades. Cholesterol 150, A1c 4.9, etc. Even my liver enzymes are in normal range.

Since 2020, the most common board game I play is Pandemic.  I've played it about a dozen times this week alone with visiting house guests.  I have several expansion packs to the base game, to make it different each time. 
Another recent favorite board game is Wingspan.

If you are looking for a group, you might try the senior center.  I think in Palm Springs it is the Mizell Center, if I am not mistaken.  When I moved from Bay Area to Denver a couple of years ago, I joined the local senior center as a way to meet people and stay active.  We do bus trips, have groups that enjoy going out to eat for lunch or dinner together, and many different groups that play games.  The center I attend offers canasta, bridge, pinnacle, mahjong, scrabble, puzzles...the list goes on and on.  Just a thought...

While socially we all are game players to a greater or lesser extent, I am referring to actual games.  I enjoy RPG and puzzle games such as Connections and Wordle on a daily basis.  I also enjoy card games, everything from old maid to canasta, and board, everything from chutes and ladders to Go.   I have been searching out a group for some type of organized regular game encounter.  So far no luck, but I have a lead on a group that I am following up, but it seems Agricola is their game of choice and I was unfamiliar with it until reading a synopsis of it. 
Are there other game players here.  If so, what are your favorites.

Street Parking was 2 hours free and easy to find in the middle of the day, setup was a table in a studio apartment. Decided to try this place out yesterday. I booked a 105-minute Emperor's package. It went closer to 2 hours. I paid $170. The booking was all done by SMS on my phone. Once I locked in the package type and start time, I asked them who my masseur would be. They sent me these photos and asked me to pick one. I picked Nae because it says he does Thai-style, which I really like. He was not afraid to get his fingers all up in everywhere...and inside everywhere.
