I wouldn't make a decision on that yet. Ford may end up offering fire sale prices on discontinued models in order to get them out of dealerships.

Chrysler already made this decision over a year ago. It eliminated it's last remaining smaller car (the Chrysler 200). The North American branch of Fiat Chrysler (which is Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep) now focuses on vans, pick-ups, SUV's, Jeeps, plus two cars: The Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger. American car makers seem to be unable to make sufficient profit with small car production. Perhaps they don't sell sufficient volume to get economies of scale. There may be some political fallout for Ford and/or Trump with this announcement. Remember Ford's stated intent to move some car production to Mexico about a year ago? They were chastised by Trump for moving production of some vehicles from the US to Mexico. Ford later decided to cancel the move. Trump declared a "win" as I recall. Now it seems many US jobs will go now anyway. How many jobs will be lost and from which states?

I'm curious if you thought either of the two dancers you saw were attractive or not? The 10 or so dancers I saw on Thursday and Friday last week were not of interest to me at all. Even if they were offering totally free lap-dances, I would have declined. It was that bad. I hadn't heard anything about a police raid.

I spent the first 23 years of my life in Michigan. My coming-of-age as a gay man happened in Detroit and I was perfectly happy with the local gay scene growing up. Sure it wasn't San Francisco or New York but no-where else in the US was. The Gold Coast was a solid Midwest strip club for decades. It originally opened in the 70's. I've noticed a serious decline there in the last 5 years or so. 6-7 years ago, I was still having a good time at Gold Coast with there being enough masculine muscular talent dancing to hold my attention. It's true that the area it is located in is very bad.....yet it was always a really bad area even back in the 70's. People flocked there anyways. I don't know who the current owner or manager is but I'm gonna say they have serious management/ownership problems. Rule number one for a strip club is you have to hire attractive dancers that people actually want to see doing a strip show. The bar fails completely in that regard. Nothing good will happen there till they fix the issue of the stripper talent they have. In the absence of any fixes, I doubt the bar will survive till the end of the year.

I've been back living in Michigan for almost two years now. I just finally ventured back to Club Gold Coast on Thursday and Friday nights. I hadn't been in 2-3 years. The dancer quality was dreadful. Not a single hot masculine guy dancing on either night. Thursday had around 10 dancers. All of them were white guys with the exception of one black and one Hispanic guy. All were somewhat or very effeminate. Not my cup of tea at all. Only one of them had a fairly tight worked out body. Kind of an Adam Rippon look. Very few patrons....maybe 10 paying customers. I left before midnight. There was no point in my staying there as there was no-one I was remotely interested in for a lapdance. I decided to return on Friday night to see if a weekend night would be any better. It was actually worse. Fewer dancers. Only about 6 guys dancing. Five of them were repeats from Thursday plus one different guy. The club was fairly busy when I arrived around 9:30pm. There was a group of 20-25 people (male & female) there that were part of a "party bus". They stayed for about 40 minutes and then left to move onto the next bar on their schedule I guess. That thinned the ranks at the club. It stayed busier than on Thursday....but still nothing like it used to be. I was gone by 11:30pm. I've been an off and on patron of Club Gold Coast for more than 30 years. Whilst it was never close to Montreal/Miami/Atlanta in overall dancer quality, you could always count on there being at least 2-3 hot studs dancing there that were worth taking a private dance with....especially on the weekend. Not any more. I seriously doubt this is a viable business as it currently stands. I hope someone steps in to shake things up and improve the dancer quality substantially. Otherwise, I doubt they can last till 2019.

Interesting that Chris is back. I did not see him the prior weekend. Did you notice if Joshua was dancing on Easter weekend? He used to dance at Stock some years ago and then disappeared. During my visit, he was working the door/security and told me he would be back dancing in a few weeks. I see that they have his dancer profile back on the website already.

To be honest, Stock had a solid lineup of muscle-hunks on three of the four nights I was there. Only Thursday was weak. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were great at Stock.

I was in Montreal last weekend for a long-ish stay from Thursday to Tuesday. Nice to be past the worst of the winter in Montreal. It was still cool/cold whilst I was there but there was no snow/rain which was nice. I started off at Stock on Thursday night just after midnight. I did a quick canvass of the place and saw very little that interested me in terms of dancers. Since the night was already late (I had a late flight arrival), I decided to walk over to campus to see what was happening there....I was happy I did. Campus had 4-5 solid looking musc/masc guys dancing. It was a surprisingly good lineup for a slow cold Thursday night. I hung out with two guys who I knew that previously danced at Stock two years ago. Had a great time with them and also looking at the substantial eye-candy on the stage. A good time was had by EZEtoGRU at Campus on the Thursday. I was concerned about Stock for the rest of my long weekend since Thursday there was a disappointment. I quickly learned that I needn't be. Stock had a very solid lineup of guys for the rest of my stay Friday till Sunday. I had a great time all three nights and didn't at all feel the need to wander over to Campus again. I spent time with lots of hot guys. The notable one's were Franco, Tyson, Justin, Kobe, Mike, Kevin, Morgan, and Jo. So many men....so little time. So much fun. So much alcohol. It was worth it. I stayed an extra day in Montreal to go to the Red Wings vs Canadiens game at the Bell Centre on the Monday night. That was a blast! I went with three "friends" from Stock. Boy was I the thorn between three roses. LOL.

As others have mentioned, most cruise lines have an LGBT meet up every evening. Personally, I did not find those get-togethers very useful. Some are very well attended and others only have a couple of people there. There is also a "solo travelers" get together group each evening. I like that better than the LGBT meet-up. Just be sure to make it clear early on to the women in attendance that you are gay or, at least, not available. It is my experience that single women on cruises are extremely aggressive in trying to find boyfriend/husband possibilities. They have a laser beam focus on any single man that is on board. Overall, I find the best place to meet fun people on-board is at the piano-bar or the casino-bar in the evenings. One place for possible "cruising" on board is in the ship's sauna and steam room. I was on one transatlantic cruise a few years ago and the men's locker room/steam room/sauna/whirlpool area might as well have been a gay bath house. This cruise had an unusually large amount of gay men onboard and they pretty much took over this area in the evenings. On that ship, the steam/sauna/whirlpool area were not co-ed so there was lots of nudity and a fair amount of hanky-panky going on. Frankly I found it to be over-the-top. YMMV depending on the set-up on the ship you will be on. Have a great cruise!!
