Go to your RM privacy settings and toggle on "Do Not Track Me." Providers won't be able to see if you've visited their profile.

I feel the same way about paying for a provider’s Uber or Lyft—just factor it into your fee. Don’t tell me. I don’t want to use my personal account to arrange transportation to/from or know where you live. That’s none of my business. Many first-time providers only offer outcalls, so you end up covering the cost of the hotel and their transportation (in addition to their fee).

I've never asked for a deposit,  but generally if I have to travel to a client,  I have had some dialogue in advance and feel comfortable in going without any sort of deposit or money in advance.      I can see the alternative,  I can see when it would seem to make sense.

Reading this forum and common sense has taught me to say no to deposits. Never. 

I say this and ask with a smile on my face but why would a provider who's met you before ( presumably he trusts you ) ask for or need a deposit?  I thought only first timers felt a need for deposits to prevent a flake situation... no? 

I have a NO deposit rule. My concern with deposits is that they solely benefit the provider and offer no protection to the client. Additionally, there's a privacy risk and the possibility of creating a paper trail that could come back to bite you later. Since most providers don't require a deposit, I prefer not to pay one.

If a provider is 2+ miles from me, I’m fine with a small deposit if I’ve met them before.
If it’s my first time meeting them, and they ask for a deposit, I’ll offer to uber or Lyft them to me.
Uber/lyfting them serves both as a sign of commitment to them, and a way to monitor their journey to me.

The majority of the time I agree the answer is no, but I have paid them a few times depending on my vibe with the providers profile and interactions.  I also consider if I am from out of town and how far they are traveling for me.  For example I was traveling for work and was out of state and the provider had to travel a bit over an hour to meet and asked for $50 upfront.  I thought that was reasonable as I could have easily been a flake in his mind.  It all worked out fine.  I've done it 3 or 4 times with no problems.
