The Coasties (US & Canadian) have always been my heroes. But, I cringe when their efforts, and safety, are squandered to save those that have more money than sense. The silver-lining to this story is that all our First-Responders returned safely.

I haven't seen rates drop, but my regular practitioner says his business here in SF has dropped 50% in last couple of months. He blames layoffs in the tech industry. -
Couldn't agree more. My last 2 trips to NYC I was aggressively panhandled, bordering on being threatened.
