  1. I was disappointed with Owen's massage and service. Not terrible, but not on par with Jay. If anyone has had a good experience with Owen, please DM me.
  2. You can't go wrong with Jay. I wonder if this is the same Owen who has worked at Energy and 28th?
  3. Maybe part of the confusion is that you posted your services on rentmen instead of rentmasseur.
  4. It's interesting that people with so few posts always have providers falling for them. Maybe they are legitimate concerns or maybe just a form of fan fiction. Either way, it's fun to weigh in. You are in control of this situation. Pay him and enjoy the noncommittal attention or take a risk and ask him if he would be open to exploring a relationship. Masseurs know the risks and rewards of making clients feel special - you won't offend him either way. Since none of us know you or the provider, you'll have to figure out how to read the signals and communicate just like you would with any other human being.
  5. A male massage provider is called a masseur not a masseuse When they are with you they are at work. Sometimes they enjoy their work, sometimes they don't - but if your provider is good you won't be able to tell the difference. If you are polite, clean, and considerate, you are making their job easier. Feel good about that.
  6. Enjoyed it until episode four, then it got too sappy. I get that it's based on a true story, but do all gay men have to be depicted as so emotionally needy and fucked up? No wonder we shouldn't be Marines. And all the gay men are played by gay actors? A stupid gimmick. Are all the straight men played by straight actors? Are we now required to reveal our sexuality when applying for a job? I look forward to AI destroying what's left of the idiotic film and television industry.
  7. Many of us can live in the present and still remember the recent past. It's a very helpful skill that provides context for life and helps you make decisions. Those of us who knew Ben can remember him and give him credit for making 27 a really well run spa. It's reasonable to comment on the fact that customer service has declined since Ben's untimely death. Why would anyone feel the need to register a snaky remark in this scenario?.
  8. Kenny started at TSMS, moved to Paris Men's Spa, then to Energy for a couple of weeks. Now he is back at TSMS. Good looking with a nice body. His english isn't great, but he is a sweet and easy going guy. Solid massage technique and he wants his customers to leave satisfied. No talk of tips.
  9. If you have a good rapport, ask him if he'd like to hang out sometime and get lunch. Make it clear that you enjoy his company and are not looking for off the clock massage. I've become good friends with a couple of masseurs over the years. I no longer see them for massage, and no money is involved. We just like each other. People make friends under all kinds of circumstances. If he isn't interested, fair enough. At least you'll know that he just wants to work for you. That's fine too. There are many elements to good customer service. But if you choose to remain a customer, you should tell him what adjustments he needs to make to his massage more satisfying to you.
  10. Who is the owner of 27 now? I haven't been there since Ben passed. He and Richard ran it really well.
  11. Ben and Richard were partners in 27 and HK. I don't know what's happened since Ben's untimely death, but I haven't heard that Richard sold his interest.
  12. W Man is Richard. Not sure about the others.
  13. I forgot about Why Not and Epic. I have no idea who owns them - never been to either one I've been told that Richard used to be a masseur, but more than a decade ago.
  14. Fair enough. Any corrections or different information would be welcome.
  15. From getting to know guys who work at the spas over the years.
  16. I think Richard owns most of the city's spas for men at this point. Energy, W Man, 27, HK, Yeah Man as well as the closed Paris, 28, Grandee, East Men, New Yorker, TSMS. I believe Chelsea Men's Spa, G Men, Batman, and whatever Morning Dew is called now have different owners. Any other spas I'm forgetting?
  17. Andy at W Man spa is the OG. He gives a great massage and is one of the nicest guys in the business. He's one of the few masseurs in the NYC spa scene who is WELL over 30. He's handsome with a great body. I believe he is manager at W Man and reserves the upstairs room for his customers. He does a great foot rub if you like that. He always takes good care of me and never disappoints. YMMV, but he's remained a favorite for years with good reason.
  18. I've seen Jay at Batman several times. He gives a very reliable strong massage. He seems to really enjoy his work. He will talk to you and is pretty funny. Each one hour massage has been completely relaxing and fun. He has a very nice build and a decent face. He seems to like dyeing his hair orange or blond on occasion. No upselling or talk of tips. Highly recommended.
  19. Now that the Energy thread is closed, maybe we can try starting threads about specific masseurs at NYC spas. With any luck the owner won't use the thread to advertise. I'll start. I saw Alvin last week at Energy for a one hour massage. Average looking asian guy with a nice body. Not talkative. Gives a great strong massage. Wore his baseball cap throughout. Although it was my first visit, he was very engaged and exceeded my expectations of relaxation by the end. No talk of tips. No talk at all. Highly recommend.
  20. Providers - How often do straight clients show up out of curiosity and are unable to fully function sexually? Sexuality is complicated, but I know a couple of straight men who are very open to new experiences, but just can't get it up for another man, however good the massage. Also - do you get a lot of ring wearers who claim to be straight and married, but you can tell they are putting on an act? I sometimes wear my wedding band on my left hand and when asked if I'm straight, say yes. In our culture, the straight man fantasy still gets a lot of mileage.
  21. Toni Collette was good and I pretty much enjoyed the series so Mae Martin gets credit for making it all happen. However, Mae Martin is a terrible actor. I haven't seen a performance this bad in a quite a while.
  22. Hollywood is a very toxic place. I don't know if it's true, but rumor has it the co-stars have been having an affair for a while. I wonder if they are both idiots, or if he's a pig, or if she's a liar. Or all of the above.
  23. At the risk of provoking you, it sounds like some of the communication problem might be about you. Many of us make appointments through text with site favorites like Peter, Lukas, Andy at Wmen,, Jay at Batman, August at 27, You might just be experiencing a string of bad luck or you might need to look deeper and see if you are responsible for the scheduling confusion.
  24. Is anyone watching this show with Toni Collette as the director of a sinister juvie in VT? Two episodes in and it's fairly entertaining.
  25. Maybe the masseur recognized the time and date the message was sent combined with information that was specific to their session. Whatever happened, the point is that private messages are private. If people don't respect that, the feature is useless.
