  1. Do they have hot tailors? You don't see many of those.
  2. Happy birthday to one of my favorite posters!
  3. If you order something small, some brands ship in large envelopes that fit in a mailbox. Of course, that only works if they use USPS return labels. The problem is that some stuff sells out fast in b&m stores but can still be found online. Or it can’t be found at all. For example, after some thought, I just bought this piece online. Here is the store locator on the brand’s site.
  4. Colors are highly important to me too. I rely on reviews ("This is more orange than red") and compare to other items to get a sense of the shade. When all else fails, I just return.
  5. Some brands are infamous for this. I've been a 4 and a 6 for different items in the same brand. Across brands, all bets are off.
  6. This is why I only buy from sites/retailers that offer a 30 day or more hassle-free return policy. You can check sizing, quality, and so on and send it back if it doesn't work. One site is having a sale now, but with no returns on discounted items. Most of the sale items aren't moving because people won't risk $100+.
  7. I used to do buy online occasionally, but over the past few months, I got on a real ordering kick. I landed some really nice items from brands I had never heard of. It’s nice not to have to go to different stores, look through racks, ask clerks if they have other sizes in the back, etc. Most retailers offer free returns and sometimes include a return label in the original package. As long as you're organized about returning stuff in time, you’re basically using your home as a dressing room. Are you into buying online or do you like the in-store experience?
  8. Thanks, funguy. As for other ways of solving the problem, I've tried it all except for hormonal stuff. (I use a new non-hormonal drug popular in Europe.) Eventually, I will likely have surgery but no one will do that with my current iron levels anyway. That's interesting about your friend. I'm glad she was able to solve the problem. I hope that I don't have another issue (besides the primary one) that is causing this but I may take a Cologuard just in case. How are things with you?
  9. I’m going to have to bite the bullet on this and hope for the best. I’m scared but the alternative is unacceptable. I did the same with the egg freezing and ended up regretting not having done it earlier. I just met someone who had it done twice. No side effects, she said.
  10. Another thread with a similar threat. Sounds like your scammer added some details for additional credibility. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/scam-or-threat.139538/
  11. 510guy, I'm glad to hear your levels have stayed normal for that long. That's one thing you don't have to worry about anymore.
  12. Happy birthday, ArVaguy! I always enjoy reading your posts.
  13. Unfortunately, I’m well past the point where food can do much. I’ve been taking 3 times the maximum dose of iron supplements since January. The active ingredient is animal-sourced iron, which is very well absorbed. I mostly eat out, but I now eat red meat several times a week. As for Vit C, I've tried it briefly, it appears not to affect absorption of this type of iron. I think I'll give it another try to see if it can increase absorption of iron from food. Thanks for the suggestion, sniper. Sorry about the hemochromatosis. Are you giving blood to try to get the levels down?
  14. Happy birthday, Cooper!
  15. I was hoping to avoid this, but it looks like I have no choice. Despite taking tons of the best oral iron available plus Rx medication to address the cause of the low iron, my stored iron (ferritin) levels are still in the single digits. The symptoms of that are really showing now. The hematologist I saw agreed to use the gentlest IV iron available, Venofer, at a very low starting dose. Nevertheless, I'm apprehensive about the potential side effects, particularly an allergic reaction or extravasation aka the iron escaping the vein and leaving a huge permanent brown tattoo. Since you guys are a seasoned bunch, I wanted to ask if you know anyone who has had this done and whether they had any problems.

  17. Happy birthday, Funguy!
  18. Petting my upper back makes me shiver. It's not really a sexual thing though. A male friend called it my erroneous zone.
  19. "Bless your heart." He sounds like one of those people who's obsessed with weight and needs to share his obsession with others. I would have been far more rude than you were.
  20. Sounds like a precursor of LaTex.
  21. Michael Barbaro — the rising-star host of the New York Times’ hit podcast “The Daily” — has split with his husband and is now dating the show’s executive producer, Lisa Tobin, Page Six has learned. Media insiders have been buzzing behind the scenes over Barbaro and Tobin’s relationship — which the couple has revealed to their Times bosses, sources said. “They do not report to each other, they work together,” said one insider. “They did alert their manager and some other folks at the Times.” Political correspondent-turned-podcast star Barbaro married fellow Yale grad Timothy Levin in 2014 and has reportedly been known to make references to his husband on “The Daily.” New York state Supreme Court records reveal that the couple have filed for an uncontested divorce, and that the proceedings are ongoing... https://pagesix.com/2018/07/27/the-daily-host-michael-barbaro-splits-from-husband-dating-shows-producer/?utm_medium=SocialFlow&utm_source=P6Twitter&utm_campaign=SocialFlow
  22. I had to rip off the bandaid and let my therapist go. I held on for a while and hoped it would get better, but eventually it had to happen. He is a good guy, but there was a lot of friction between us, and he said some things that hurt me. (He later insisted that he had meant the opposite, but he remembered every word of the conversation so he must have known it was a problem. He responded almost like a defense attorney would, and it bothered me.) I often walked out feeling worse. Also, I can't really afford to keep spending that much money in the long run. I decided to end it via email, because I knew he'd press me hard for reasons. Initially, he responded to my email with "Thanks for the payment. I understand, and let me know if I can be helpful in the future." But ten minutes later, he sent another email, saying he'd be happy to refer me if the issue was financial and invited me to "reach out" and talk to him if the issue wasn't financial too. I decided not to respond. This guy definitely put effort into his job , and on some level, I like him. So it was hard to let it go. But the financial situation plus the lack of chemistry forced my hand. Gman, I understand where you're coming from. I guess you could talk to her, but if she's saying the same thing that everyone else has said, then there probably isn't much she can do . But you are in a sort of inertial motion, Gman. You've moved, met men on Grindr (whether you met them in person or not), and so on. Now the question is whether you want to change the direction and speed, or rather, whether the disadvantages of doing so outweigh the advantages.
  23. A glute massage feels great when you’re sore from running. And if the person is good and gets the piraformis....ah.
