  1. He keeps it up he might surpass Glutes as top resurrector of dead threads
  2. It’s more a question of ethics. If one would extort a fee for missed appointment by threatening to post name, phone number and/or email on an Internet blacklist, what other unethical things would this person do?
  3. You do. And the reason the drinking age was raised to 21? Federal Highway funding was tied to whether the states had a drinking age of 21 or 18. To get the most money, states had to raise their drinking age back to 21. "The repeal of prohibition by the 21st Amendment on Dec. 5, 1933 allowed each state to set its own alcohol consumption laws. At that time, most states established the minimum legal drinking age (MLDA) for alcohol at 21 years of age. Following the July 1, 1971 passage of the 26th Amendment, which lowered the legal voting age from 21 to 18 years of age, 30 US states lowered their MLDA to 18, 19, or 20; by 1982, only 14 states still had an MLDA of 21. "The enactment of the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 prompted states to raise their legal age for purchase or public possession of alcohol to 21 or risk losing millions in federal highway funds. By 1988, all 50 states had raised their MLDA to 21. I think it was MADD - Mother's Against Drunk Driving lobbying the Congress to raise the drinking age that got the ball rolling. https://drinkingage.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=004484
  4. The CDC says every 5 years. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/shingles/public/index.html The CDC says it's never too late. Even if you've had shingles, you can get the vaccine. AND you can get shingles again. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/shingles/public/index.html
  5. I'm not missing the nuance at all. You want to defend invasion of privacy criminal cases if you can't find substantial evidence. All I want to do is respect the individual's privacy. I started with this whole subject saying you were being legalistic, and followed with hair-splitting. That indicated I don't get your nuance? Just because a deed might not rise to adjudication of LAW, doesn't mean the same deed is not against decorum. I mean really, to you fart in public? That's a huge invasion of my private right to BREATHE STINK-FREE AIR but it's not against the law. I ain't neva knowed a person what wanted to be called by a name what he didn't tell me. I'm sure he'd 'preciate me calling him by the name he done tolt me and not some other names I may wanna call him like some diminutive of his real name, his real name if'n he ain't said it, or Asshat, Shithead, Peckerhead or Sigma Omega Beta, neither Just the way I wuz reared.
  6. If'n it ain't yours'n then don't be using it without permission. Larned dat when I wuz 9.
  7. Geez, are you a barber? How many hairs can you possibly split on the idea of using personal information?
  8. My point is simple... just because you know a thing, you're not required to put it to use. The black hole theory of data storage, if you will.
  9. Definition of publish transitive verb 1a : to make generally known b : to make public announcement of My intent was the definition in #2 - 1a. You made known to the one individual who would react as you predicted: "I'm afraid that he might overreact or jump to the wrong conclusion." Then you came here seeking what? Forgiveness? Exhoneration? Understanding? Redefining your behavior? Unfortunately, he jumped to the correct conclusion, you were behaving like as stalker behaves.
  10. There's nothing wrong with research, but when you start revealing what you've learned without pretext or context, it rises to the level of disturbing that person's privacy. Personally, I'd equate it to asking, "So, when did you stop beating your wife?" It presupposes so much to call a person by a name they haven't disclosed to you. There's nothing wrong being a blackhole containing lots of data, there is so much wrong with publishing that data you've snooped out. What's that Twain saying, “It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt” Calling that escort by a never-disclosed name made you stupid in the sense that you didn't care about his feelings while you were probably seeking to measure his reaction. No, I don't see your behavior as innocent, caring or gentle. That's the violating his privacy.
  11. You're arguing legalities but the question you should be asking is this, "Do I have an expectation of privacy concerning my name, my body, my work place, my phone, my home, my dresser top or my car?" If someone discovers something about us, do they have the right to use that information - to discuss that private something? You said in the next to last sentence the very motivation to NOT violate someone's privacy - I'm afraid that he might overreact or jump to the wrong conclusion. The very response you would have if someone discussed your private matters. So the only thing holding you back is fear of the escorts reaction? That's pretty healthy behavior for one who argues he isn't violating some other person's privacy. I share my home with a young man 25 years my junior. His friends react that it must be creepy living with a meddlesome old fart. His reaction as he repeats the story to me, "They don't understand that you're the best roommate I've ever had. You leave me alone. You leave my things alone. If you want to know something, you ask. If I don't want to tell you something, you respect my privacy." I have just learned in my aged life that the things people share are far more important to me than the things they hide. If they want to hide something, then by all means, hide it. I don't want to know it.
  12. If I wanna fuck anonymously, I sure as hell want the other fucker to be anonymous, too! After all, I'm not trying to fall in love just experience an awesome exchange of sexual behaviors.
  13. So does that mean I need to stop using "password" and use maybe, "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog?"
  14. Hey, hey, if he would put that in his mouth, he'll put ANYTHING in his mouth...
  15. The correct descriptive term is "tank-top t-shirt". Wife-beater probably comes from watching too many episodes of "Cops" where the domestic violence arrestee is typically wearing only a tank-top t-shirt. There was this guy in my high school who wore tank-tops exclusively. He was handsome and very muscly. He earned the nickname "Tank" from the guys and girls.
  16. Ah, another grammarian arguing with my spell-check... thanks!
  17. Unless your talking about corn-holed beef, then I wanna hear all about him!
  18. My response is "Shut the fuck up, yo' diatribe is wasting my time!" Or "Human Being!", as loud as I can say it, just incase the automated answerer is now classified as a being.
  19. PUT ME AT EASE I'm not even sure how the fuck you do that.
  20. I saw him in person 30 years ago in Orlando when they were filming "The New Leave It To Beaver" and I was shocked that he was only 5'8". Still looking good at 72:
  21. A friend of mine refers to his favorite barista at Starbucks as his "Coffee Crush".
  22. Blame it on Parkinson's if you don't want to tell him he's a hottie.
