  1. When I buy new tires, I get a receipt with the serial numbers of the new tires on it. It's part of the warranty. It appears on the sidewall. The serial number can also help in determining when the tires were manufactured. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11
  2. I'd say you're 45 years behind on acquiring knee pads...
  3. Not necessarily so. A monthly rental at Hertz/Enterprise/Avis/National et al runs about $650/mo (about $22/day) for a full-size car. And there's no maintenance expense, just gas. I personally only rent cars for business travel. It's MUCH CHEAPER than using a personal vehicle. I generally pay $30-40/day, $250/weekly and $650/monthly. Typically, i average 500-1000 miles per day. My last monthly rental was for 4,500 miles. I drove 24,000 miles for business in rental cars last year. My rental costs were 35 days at $32.80 per day average. Also, I averaged 30 mpg on 800 gallons of gas. My total costs? $3,948. The 'deductible mileage' would have equaled $13,920. But I didn't experience ANY depreciation on my personal auto... Remember, you have to earn it to deduct it. I'll take my deal every time. If the IRS says it costs me $0.58/mi to operate a personal vehicle, that would be $290-$580 per day in 'deductible' expenses. And only $0.58/mile up to $50,000. So I can deduct the costs of operating a car up to 86,000 miles - but I have to drive those 86,000 miles in my car. I would have to program maintenance appointments and take the value beating on my car with twice the average annual mileage. So my asset wastes away twice as fast as other cars the same year model. I own a 2012 automobile which on average should have 84,000 miles on it. It has 24,000 miles, all personal miles. Now the only question remaining is, "When did the IRS ever set a mileage deduction rate that favors the taxpayer?" I would suggest at $0.58/mile the taxpayer is losing $$$. Finally, as for leasing a car, that is VERY EXPENSIVE. The lessee doesn't control the Capitalization Rate, the Interest Rate, the Depreciation Rate nor the Final Value of the car when the lease ends. The lessee doesn't even control the monthly payment on the lease in the long run. The average lease has a built-in 14% interest rate (carrying cost).
  4. And Grandma worries over we’re doing more than Jesus Christ?
  5. Yet, I still refuse to provide Google any opportunity to build a profile on me, including blocking cookies in my web browsing and refusing to use anything Google. Facebook, too. If you access Google, they know the device, the IP address and can connect that account with other accounts accessing services with that device &/or IP address. So unless you’re in the public library or using a perfectly clean burner phone you’re making yourself or your devices’ proclivities known. .
  6. You will never convince me “free Google” anything is a Black Hole. Those bastards track and monetize all things Google. You’re a source of daily revenue to them why would they stop at Google Voice?
  7. Reviewing this guy on RentMen equals the quality of your date. The best place to review him is DaddysReviews.com. You can review him and Daddy will allow him to reply to the review. EasyPeazy
  8. Anyone can pay to reactivate an expired ad. Doesn't mean the provider has re-upped.
  9. My surgical oncologist when asked about my brain surgeon responded, “He is a good man. A little short but a good man.” When the neurosurgeon walked in the exam room, I nearly died laughing. He was all of 5’ tall.
  10. I stand corrected. I didn’t have my bottle in front of me either.
  11. Accountable is just as good as liable, at fault and wrong. My point is anonymous posters on a forum are powerless to hold anyone accountable for their behavior. We can comment on his behavior, we can complain, wail, moan and trash talk his behavior but none of the does anything to 'hold accountable' another person. Maybe it's my advanced age but I've come to the conclusion that I have no ability to control, guide or even direct anyone else and my dog. Hell, I have a hard time holding myself accountable!
  12. I was reading about AdvilPM and AlevePM as a 'sleep aid' and confused. Why not just pop a Benadryl or two? The NSAID isn't necessary to cause sleep, it's there to deal with inflammation. The pseudoephedrine is the sleep inducing compound. Benadryl is also the med prescribed by my physician when I was a patient at UCLA Hospital years ago. Seems to be a sleep aid without nefarious side effects. Plus from my reading, I've not found any long term complications from using Benadryl.
  13. Accountable? I'm not sure how a bunch of anonymous old farts have the ability to hold anyone else on this forum accountable. That's just a weird concept to me. General Discuss of Internet and Phone Access? I'm not sure where to discuss/correct/enlighten those who post seemingly erroneous or confusing info if you don't post in the same thread. It seems to me some people were equating WiFi with the Internet. The Internet is the Information Superhighway. WiFi is but one means to access the Internet but it is not the 'fastest' connection speed. Cellular Data seems a more ubiquitous connection access and as cellular technology develops, I can foresee a day when demand for an in-home access point will fall away like the once near-universal hard-wired telephone line.
  14. Shhhh! Don't tell the Chinese!!!
  15. Um, WiFi isn’t the only universal access point to the Internet. Cellular data is needed to google map your international travels. If your g-mapping, your mail clients & Web Browsers work, too.
  16. You forgot to mention that some countries actually block websites. So there’s absolutely no access to any site the country blocks.
  17. Not you Ben. But those who are striving to look successful, tend to “rent” successful instead of owning successful. Please remember I live about 3 mikes from Beverly Hills, where the Budget Rent A Car located between Little Santa Monica and Santa Monica has every high-end ride you could think of for rent at outrageous daily rates for those seeking to appear successful.
  18. 30 friends in only one bed? Changing beds might be more reasonable.
  19. That's over thinking it. Just hire them as bartenders with permission to hand out their contact info. No one wants to change the sheets after a party before crashing.
  20. Hire two escorts as waiters/bartenders. Their uniform should be a speedo only - I prefer white. Explain to your guests looking is free. Anything else that happens is to be paid at the eye-candy's negotiation and fees. Contact information will be available after the party. Hopefully, they will be so tired at the end of the party, sleeping over with you is their only option.
  21. A hot man like you calls me saying he's got car trouble, my first response would be, "Let me get my pants on and I'll come pick you up!" And then, "Can I order you a Lyft/Uber? - I'll pay both ways!" And then, "Get a Cab, I'll meet you at the curb with the cash to pay for it." Honestly, I'd go pick BrianStrowkes up on the off chance that our meeting time would not begin during the transportation time and I'd get more time with him. After all why give the another driver a boner? Hey BrianStrowkes, do like VictorPowers does in his post's signature, give us a link! (https://rentmen.eu/VictorPowers/)
  22. ANY pecker with that much man behind it would guarantee a good plowing...
