moonlight reacted to SecretProvider in BrandinHawk - avoid at all cost
Some people have accused me of having disdain for my clients, which couldn't be further from the truth - but this is a fantastic example the kind of nonsense we have to navigate. @OvrwghtQT what a strange hill to die on.
Soap and water is not militant. It's good manners, no matter where you are or from. JFC

This thread is not long for this world - an example of one of the many reasons I don’t care to participate anymore. The irony is utterly lost here.
Thank you to all the good clients and quiet lurkers who appreciate what I and other providers have to say, and those choosing not to contribute to all the problematic behavior. I’ve met many of you in person and can confirm this community has many good people in it. It’s too bad the rotten apples spoil the barrel. Some of those bad apples are providers too. It goes both ways.
I have a voice, and I am willing to share it with those who want to listen. Going forward, it will be on my own terms, on my own platform, without censorship, or anyone saying that I can’t call a spade a spade. No clowns tolerated; I will suffer neither b***** nor fools. You will hear about it once it’s ready. Meanwhile, I have a living to make and a tour to complete.
I hope for the sake of all you who value this special place on the internet, that the moderators take this opportunity to look inward, to consider what kind of community they really want this to be and make changes to steer the ship in that direction. Maybe it isn’t really a place for providers to participate. Maybe it is. Maybe it’s truly a review platform with consistent criteria for clients to post more meaningful commentary and data points. It’s been since 2023 we were expecting such a review style platform to launch. Guess that isn’t happening.
Whichever direction the site administrators and moderators decide they want it to go, CoM can’t continue in a healthy way as it has been. It’s a fools errand for contributors to demand providers spend their time and energy here (for free) for the benefit of strangers on the internet, many of whom mock and ridicule us in return. This is my last piece of unsolicited advice. If you privately want my input, maybe some ideas to make positive changes, you know where to find me.
I’m done casting pearls to swine. It’s too bad some of the very good people will miss out because the loudest voices in the room are deafening squeals.
For now, good bye, and good luck.

I agree with everything the providers have said here, with the exception that we don't advertise here - every post here is an advertisement and a work of PR. Intentionally or not.
I started this moniker after long time reading posts and thinking - what if I contribute and said out loud what we are thinking without the restrictions of worrying how it will affect my brand? And so many questions on threads are asked, where to me the answer seems so obvious. I wanted to participate and not be burdened by having to PR manage myself.
For eg. One thread asked 'Would providers would prefer a nice time with a booking, or a tip'. Well, we like both, but if we had to pick one, I replied we would prefer a tip. What followed was someone admonishing me 'instead of wanting a tip why don't you just raise your price' I replied - "well, because that wasn't an option in the question that was posed." He replied "you didn't answer my question and you are not a moderator so BUZZ OFF'.
How lovely.
So this ignited another curiosity - what would be the result if I spit the same venom back at the people who post it here so regularly? Would it make people sit back and think 'oh this is how i sound?' Would I get pleasure ticking them off? (how many times, in ANY industry, have we wished we could tell a customer or collegue how silly we think they are. There is not one person in the world who hasn't wished they could tell their boss to go suck it.)
The experiment was doomed to fail because we are all our own hero in our own story and it often went straight over their heads. I never posted a mean comment unless it was in reply, yet the vitriol comes at me in spades. One time I even copy/pasted a comment they themselves had previously made and the person still never realized this but were of course- incredibly offended. There has also definitely been an element of 'you don't even go here!'. 'A real provider would NEVER think this!' 'My paid friends told me so, so you must be lying!' I have received some private messages of encouragement though so I guess it balances out in the end?
Anyway - I am not surprised more providers haven't participated. You just need to read the threads and see the way providers are spoken about to see why. I can't say it better than people who are providers already have.
SIDE NOTE-
My real life experiences with clients are for the most part, incredibly lovely. 99% of the people I actually meet are fantastic. I have had some really special and intimate moments, helped people through hard and personal times in their lives in a way that only a provider can. I have had some incredible sex with clients and even with actual porn stars, travelled to cities I otherwise would not been able to. I have clients that have become good friends. Sometimes in my head I say "man i am so lucky, I would do this for free!" I work hard and I look after myself but I am blessed that I am also attractive enough to be in the industry. I don't ever forget that, and that I am lucky and am grateful. I am not arrogant about the fact that I get to do this. I don't walk around thinking 'i deserve this'.
The experience of real life compared to this forum is like night and day.
There IS a reason more of us don't post. If people want that to change, some people here should really think about how they contribute to that.... or even dare I say it: why some of us only post anonymously?

This forum could be a real asset to providers. Being newer to RM, I only have 500 characters to communicate who I am and what I offer. This offers a chance to communicate more thoughtfully and give guys on the other side of this industry a more complete view of who I am.
But this can be a treacherous place for providers! Many of us have scaled back participation for that reason.
There's some really dominant toxic voices. There's a loud peanut gallery that seems to make a hobby of comments ranging from critical to derogatory about providers they've never met or hired. ("Needs to hit the gym," "Terrible tattoos," "Too girlie!" "Looks older than he lists," "PNP means he's a junkie!" "Smoker!") There's a strong risk of slander, against which it's all but impossible to defend yourself. (I've watched it happen to providers I know well and trust!) And there's some known scammers - about whom we all warn each other - regularly contributing as though they're legitimate clients.
If there were more to be gained here for us to participate, it would probably draw more of us back. A sub-forum to promote ourselves? Would anyone actually take advantage? Maybe not.
Worth noting: Every client I've met who uses this site - contributor or lurker - has been a top notch guy, just doing their research a bit more thoroughly. So the issue really does just seem to be the loudest most toxic voices.

I saw him for two hours with another provider, and he was absolutely wonderful. I thought he was hotter than his pictures, and he has a lovely smile. I would gladly hire him again and asked him to let me know when he's back in my city.

moonlight got a reaction from + Just Chuck in When to tell a provider I’m a virgin?
If you want to go down this route, it might be helpful to think of a stepwise approach, to gradually expose you to increasing levels of intimacy:
1) Start with completely therapeutic (non-sexual) massages. Become comfortable being naked (albeit draped) in front of someone, and with someone else touching you, in a non-sexual environment. You might want to start with a female therapist to remove any possible sexual connotation if the thought of a male therapist gives you anxiety and then progress from there.
2) Erotic massage from rentmasseur. No pressure to perform on your part. You can see where the session goes and gently state your boundaries if it goes too far for you. Find a masseur well-reviewed on this site. You could mention to him during the session that you're newly out. IMO, no need to share info like that prior to meeting (or at all).
3) Rentmen. Might be helpful to find someone who in their profile says they welcome first-timers. Here I think it would be appropriate to briefly explain your situation and what you're looking for. Be direct and succinct in your message.
Though if you feel like you're ready to go to #3 I don't see a problem with that.

Here is an old thread on him, with a previous name: https://www.companyofmen.org/topic/158117-411-on-latinmuscleman/
There were accusations of deposit stealing on that thread too and his RM account was deactivated shortly after. With Balthazar being an established member adding to those voices, there does seem to be an undeniable pattern. It seems like the people who manage to meet up with him have a good time, though.
Thanks for sharing.

I scheduled an appointment with MexTheFlex for when he'd be in my area. He subsequently changed his travel plans and will be in my area when I'm out of town. I expressed understanding and requested my $150 deposit back. I thought this was reasonable because the appointment was canceled due to his schedule change. He has not responded. He has a The Best Flex account, which is a website that bodybuilders use to sell content/services (e.g., custom videos, video shows). I asked if he sold content and suggested a compromise where he keeps the deposit in exchange for such content (e.g., a posing video). I have purchased videos from bodybuilders on TBF several times. He has not reponded. "That's why I never send deposits." I know. I know. I have a thing for bodybuilders, so I took a risk. It didn't work out. Oh, well.

Yes. But I'm sure the OP knows, at some level, what he's been missing. He's been fantasizing about it for most of his life without acting on it. Surely that comes at a cost.

I would guess that with most men, the damage of continued repression and regret would be greater than the negative aspects of being sexually active. There's a cost to repression that, for some, compounds over time like bad debt.

For a middle-aged guy, this seems like it might be a tough hurdle to clear. How many guys out there want to be with a 40-something with 0 experience? I honestly don't know how difficult that would be, but I can see the case for learning the ropes with providers first before progressing to dating or hookup apps in this instance. I could be wrong.

I had the massive pleasure of this short king last night. He is wider than tall and those biceps you refer to are so big and so very hard. A huge, hairy chest that goes all the way to his clavicles and is stone when he flexes. So much tissue on him. Muscles are mature and at their peak. He is very generous with his body and gets hard instantly when you get excited. He is kind and kisses big and deep. I paid for an erotic session. The massage is simply a warm up and nothing to write home about. We rolled around happily for some time. Highly recommend.

moonlight got a reaction from la_connor in Escorts and PNP
I have yet to hire someone who lists PNP. I've come close but ultimately it violates a boundary I set for myself early on. TBH, I'm thinking about dropping that boundary (not to do PNP myself but to at least try well reviewed providers who list it). It just makes me nervous, and I'm very cautious.

Update to what happened. Froy reached out to me and confirmed that he was mistaken and apologized for his previous messages. He confirmed he was able to resolve it with the correct person and apologized for involving me.
I said thanks and said I was glad he was able to resolve it. Thanks for the advice you guys.

Oh c'mon. They have a long good reputation as evidenced by their many positive reviews and the non-existence of any complaints or hints of shady behavior.
Someone screwed them, and they made a mistake identifying the wrong person... for which they've now apologized.
Move on.
I haven't even met these guys (yet), but maybe I'm untroubled by this because I've never had the pleasure of meeting guys as perfect as you all!

moonlight reacted to jeffla in Froy & Gabriel - Visiting West Hollywood
I still have not seen Froy or his partner Gabrielsp, though I hope to one day.
I have no idea whether they're good guys or not, but they have so many great reviews... it seems they really work hard to provide their clients with a top-end massage as hoped for.
My point of view is informed because another provider, whom I'm friendly with, had this done to him... the client paid him via Paypal, and then once he left, filed a chargeback, leaving the provider with nothing.
What is the provider to do? They feel totally powerless, and worse than the loss of income is the disrespect and feeling of being used and made to feel worthless.
I can understand how in such a position, the provider writes a note like Froy did, trying to maintain some perception of power in the situation. Let's be honest: They're not going to small claims court given too many questions could likely be asked about the services, etc., but they were taken advantage of and made to feel small, and so they responded in the heat of the situation as best as they could.
I'm assuming, based on the recipient's response here, that they mistook which client used the Paypal, so that's on them.
But I don't see this as an extortion effort, and if they were the type, they'd have many more negative comments here and on Rentmasseur from others who would find them to be shady characters.
I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt, outside of getting their clients mixed up.
That said, I always pay cash.....
