That's so annoying, frustrating, unprofessional and unfortunate. I'd personally want to stop what I was doing, get dressed, let him know that I was leaving because he was showing little to no interest and that I was only going to pay him $X for his time. But then you risk a possible confrontation which no one wants. It's a tough situation to be in. Sucks having to pay full price when I'm sure you weren't even into it at that point. You probably just wanted to get off and go and have it all over with. I probably would have done exactly what you did.

Totally unprofessional and annoying. How can anyone expect a tip after an incident like that? And then to go so far as to contact you, hound you, for a tip. Others may feel differently but I rarely tip. If the provider wants to make $250 - $300 an hour then charge $250 - $300 an hour. Don't charge $200 and then expect a $50 or $100 tip. If the service is truly exceptional, then I will give a tip showing my gratitude and appreciation for the great service. Otherwise I pay the agreed upon rate.

Ok so he is a "real old-timer" but have you ever had a recent session with him?

I may not do that in the initial text but I definitely provide my stats and send a photo. As I say to them "I know a lot about you so it's only fair for you to know some about me." I think it's only fair, that way it eliminates an element of Surprise! Surprise!

Okay let's get back to the basic question of follow or ignore. I tend to follow the autoresponder instructions if I am really interested in the provider, understanding that he may not be checking the site regularly. I would even say that I like autoresponder because I get an instant response which provides helpful information in most cases. I also realize that providers aren't sitting in front of their laptop or staring at their phone waiting to reply instantly to messages on the app. At least when I text someone directly I know there is a better likelihood of him seeing the message sooner than a message left on the app. Plus I'm a sub so I always follow orders/instructions.😈
