I have not yet approached a guy on IG. But I find it a great source to verify the authenticity of a new hire. My most recent hire had exactly the same name on Rentmen and on Instagram. His phone number led to his profile on Facebook and on LinkedIn. Clearly, he was not worried about a seamless transition from his escort profile to his real identity and his professional life - he is a successful graphic designer. I am glad that young gay men think it is cool to be an escort and don't feel the need to hide it. I call that progress.

If you have access to IG, you may find it interesting that NYCViking has an extensive profile on there using exactly the same name there as on his escort ad. Through various social media, he freely uses his escort name - suggesting that he wishes his escorting activities to be out there in the open to his followers and friends. As a self-described queer nerd, with 9,000+ followers on IG, he seems to be well known in NYC. Overall, a very nice guy and a positive experience.
