I've hired Tony several times in the past couple of years and have had nothing but good experiences with him. He's always been nice and pleasant to deal with. And we've always had a great time together.

Barbra has this tendency to "show her work" too much - she's not always one of those performers who likes to make things seem easy - she wants to telegraph just how damn hard she's working.
 
The opening number in the film, "Just Leave Everything To Me," is in some ways a much better song than "I Put My Hand In" from the stage show. But Barbra attacks it with such exasperated over-energy that it's an instant turnoff.
 
And yes, in general, I think she's totally wrong as Dolly. Channing had this odd caricature-style quirkiness, but she also had a great deal of warmth, which is what really made you care about her. Streisand really doesn't do warmth well, IMO.

Thanks for that clarification-as I said above I had a great experience with him about 6 years ago, so was disappointed to read all these negative ones, and wondered why. (Also had a fab time with you!)

If you're suggesting drug use, Tony has been clean and sober for something like a decade now. I congratulate that.

For what it is worth, I met him here in NYC maybe 6 or 7 years ago as I found him hot in his older movies. he was a little less butch shall we say than his porn persona, but he had zero attitude, and was actually very sweet and nice with me. I perfectly understand what "stay away" means, no need to be patronising. My question was, since it was not explained in the message, should one stay away ONLY because the massage was not sensual, or were there other factors to be considered, like the massage was bad, or he was unfriendly? The reason for my question is that he has an excellent review on his page
