I saw that he was back in the U.S., as he travels quite extensively throughout the world on his Instagram. I asked him about his rates. Although he's got a nicely toned body and nice big dick, I just can't fathom paying his rates of $500 an hour or $2,000 an overnight. No one is worth that price to me....

I’ve had luck with that same model....sometime it takes offering full rate for the first visit, then once we’ve met a more agreeable 1.5*rate for two hours etc. as @Keith30309 describes above.

$250-300 out-call
$800-1,000 overnight
 
Today, I think the maximum should still be:
$250 in
$300 out
$1,200 overnight
$2,000 weekend
Also, there should be multi-hour discounts, or multi-day discounts.
 
Why? Because there are plenty of first-rate escorts that still charge these amounts. I just texted a NY escort a guy on here recommended that wanted $300 an hour (reasonable), but wanted $2,000 an overnight (excessive). I had another guy charge an excessive overnight like that, as he did not like overnights.

I've had just a good time--if not better--with a guy off Craigslist and Backpage for $100/hour, and a Seeking Arrangement guy for $500/overnight. There is no correlation to the price an escort charges versus how much satisfaction you're going to have. Some of them have over-inflated egos who can't get it up, don't fulfill what their ads say they will do, and just aren't worth the price.

That would be great, but I find usually the following hours are a bit more than 50% of the first.

When I hired (regularly, some years ago) I found that advertised rates had no relation to a person's skill in bed.
 
Equally the price I actually paid had little relation to the intensity and pleasure of the experience. One very expensive encounter was a 'dud'; two escorts, both lavishly praised here, were very disappointing. Yet a blond muscleboy who never posted a face photo turned out to be truly an Adonis with a submissive nature; he charged relatively little and he was flaky, but he became my regular 'fuckbuddy' for several years.
 
If my experience taught me anything, it's to be polite, clear and direct in what you want and offer a very fair rate. And if there is a guy you lust for and simply 'must have', pay the rate demanded and go for it.

Do your homework. The chase should be part of the fun. Book someone who turns you on. Use common sense when making the final choice (in other words, think with the bigger head). Don't automatically exclude guys at lower price points, if they rev your engine. Some are very new to the biz and don't understand pricing. Some are genuinely humble and cannot imagine they compare to more experienced "pros". Some have a low self-image. My single greatest, all-time, bestest overnight was..........300. It will likely never be eclipsed, but my shades are at hand just in case.

I’ve had a polite message exchange with a gentleman about his rate for a 2 or 3 hour meeting. (In this case it was a mid-week afternoon incall.)
 
Some clients and companions have said they prefer single hour meetings. Others have a preference for multi-hour appointments.
 
The only rule of thumb I have ever heard for any reduced multi-hour rate is that the second and third hours are each roughly 50% of the first hour. If a gentleman’s hourly rate is $300 then 2 hours could be $450, 3 hours $600,etc.

Sorry this happened. I know the first time, things sort of went well, but the 2nd time, who would have guessed? I guess it's better to communicate and set up SEXpectations upfront. I'm not usually confrontational and will usually just go along with things (plus, i want to avoid being killed or hurt if i deny them $). The best encounters are ones for me where they perform wonderfully, do everything and surprise you with extras, leaving me wanting more. I can only count the number of positive overnights I've had on one hand (usually, in europe with the cheap ones who charge 400 or 500 for an overnight). One russian boy i met last year was a great lover, adept, clean, and eager to please before bed, while sleeping, and in the morning- all done intuitively and eagerly. Here in the US i only meet guys for any hour as I am loathe to host overnight boys that require feeding, entertaining, and driving around. After sex, i just want to clean my sheets and go to sleep with my cat and dog. Anyhow, i totally empathize with your situation and thank you for sharing.

This is awful and very sorry for your experience... it is a shame that some of these escorts. Have this way thinking that money grows on trees... Terrible situation sorry for the rough experiences- not everyone out there is genuine and comes through like they say they will ..... imagine that. Always safer to meet with the guy of your choosing and have a session or two before coming to an absurd amount of 2,000 for an over night. Just my opinion though.

Hired and escort while out of town, and alone as I am married. When I showed up, had an less than good experiences I wrote mediocre performance review, both here and on his rent men profile. Because the final directions and timing directions were done via text messages on my phone, when he saw the negative reviews, he used reverse Look up technology you can buy for $29.99 and found my name, home address, my fraternal orginization I belong to, board of directors I sit on, everything. About me including my spouses name. He then contacted me on my work email as he was able to find my place of employment. So far he just demanded I take down the the less than stellar reviews and has not demanded money. Which I hope is not a part of my future. It's been just one month so far. Time will tell.
