(Spirit Airlines is notorious for the added fees.) Bottom line is you can easily go from the U.S. to Europe with a non-checked bag at that price, and still have and still have a great time there. However, obviously there are a lot more charges you would have to think about beyond the plane ticket. If you don't have someone to stay with, obviously the hotel fees, and what you decide to eat will impact your bottom line.
